Not a hope in hell, Shirley! Like nailing custard to the wall.
Especially when people can’t remember the difference between ‘to’ and ‘too’.
And when people insist on writing ‘should of’ after being reminded that it’s ‘should have’.

Brucie,
In boot lasts (aka: shoe lasts) there appears to be no ‘standard’, just a general agreement on what’s needed.
There are two basic types: (a) those with child’s, ladies’ & men’s sized whole-foot lasts; and (b) those with a ladies’, men’s whole-foot and a heel-post.
Some have half-foot & heel-post.
There’s no rules about how they are cast: all in one; two on one plane with the whole third post welded on; third post cast with heel-top welded, etc.
And the angles and arrangement of lasts seem to follow Rafferty’s Rules.
Branding by manufacturers is optional.
I have (currently) 14 lasts on display, with another four awaiting restoration. (Thank you Dot & George )
No two are identical!
I even have a half-size last which I found in an op-shop in Bundaberg. Never found another like it.
I also have a ‘left-handed’ last, with the heel-post vertical, the other lasts face the opposite direction to the majority. The heel-post also faces the ‘wrong’ way.
I’m going now... to have a cup of tea, a Bex and a good lie down.

Trumps logic is the same as all dictators, split the population, create confusion, blatantly lie, pass blame to everyone but themselves and the results will flow for them. It's been successful forever, the majority of humans prefer to believe lies than truth, because their lives are just one big lie after another, so they stick with the liars and fantasy, whilst denouncing truth and reality. You only need to look at the state of the planet's societies to see that reality.

I think you are talking about Socialist Policy. We are nearing the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the most recent Socialist disaster. It takes a Tyrant to draw together the power of Socialism and we are about 13 years off that centenary.native pepper wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 1:07 pm Trumps logic is the same as all dictators, split the population, create confusion, blatantly lie, pass blame to everyone but themselves and the results will flow for them. Ray, I suspect a cunning plan. It is well known that you have a great number of boot-lasts. So many that a few missing would go un-noticed. You live near the River Murray. If Joy ever goes missing .........!Greynomad wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 12:46 pm Brucie,

Re: President Clown’s Unbeatable Logic
No, not talking about socialist policy, no one really knows what it means and like all ideologies, it relies upon elitism being in control. Trump is a denialist dictator, well past his use by date and we are seeing the results of the ideologically religious clinging desperately to a dying way of life. Ideological elitism of every description relies upon suppressive controls, all guised in the mantra of equality, caring and supposed love. When the historical and current facts surrounding all ideologies is the opposite, throughout history ideology has strived for total control using every suppressive and deranged method they can think of. Today the only difference is in the weaponry they use, nothing else has changed. Democracy is just another con job, like all ideological claims, it promises one thing yet provides and supports the total opposite.SteveW wrote: ↑Mon Aug 24, 2020 8:20 amI think you are talking about Socialist Policy. In the USA form of democracy, they claim the people choose, when in reality it is the political parties and ruling ideology that decides and even though the people vote for a leader, it's a group of political party elected representatives who choose the president not the people.
it's the same in Australia, they claim our system gives us control over who runs the states and country, but the reality is it is big business, religion and political parties. Our party system is in breach of the constitution, so are our elections, so is our monetary, legal and governance system and the list goes on.
Not one political party or ideological organisation on the planet has a plan for the future, it's all about power and control at any cost now and forget the real future staring us in the face. Rump and all other current world politicians are the least knowledgeable, most devout ideologues on the planet and that's why world society is going down the drain fast.
You can't live in a disney land mentality and expect the universe to follow along and make it happen for you, after all it is nature that is in control in all ways, never humans yet for some reason many humans believe the opposite. When you look at all the facts, it's understandable the Rump is in power and the same worldwide, the most ignorant and ideologically devout are in control and stuffing everything rapidly.

Re: President Clown’s Unbeatable Logic
Ummm...... The Covid spread has already been traced back to the sources, and it wasn't from any rallies, so trying to put the blame onto a protest rallies is just as bad as some of the nonsense president clown spews out.
Sure, the close contact of that many people was an unnecessary risk, but no more so than the idiots packing into shopping centres, indoors .... at least the rally people wore masks and did practice some sort of social distancing ... then what about families who traditionally gathered together as the massive extended family group, lots of kisses and hand shakes, all in close contact and all sharing the same table and probably the same serving implements .... can you think of a better way to get the virus onto the face or into the mouth ..... then think about the aerosol spread inside a closed room ..... just like night clubs and parties .... the rallies were actually held outside ........
Did anyone watch the two Covid specials on SBS last night, a lot of real information came out there, not Farcebook beat up stuff
