If my MH is classed as a truck as far as speed limits go then the same thing applies regarding rest areas.

George,
I’m with you on this one. 🤬

Must be a heavy vehicle.
So I’ll use heavy vehicle rest stops.

Agree. It is about log books and the need to rest to enable 'work' driving.

Bob,
The apostrophe is not needed... you’ve used the plural of ‘book’.
Now, if you had said “I did it by the book, so it’s the book’s fault.” both apostrophes would be correct: “it’s” is a contraction of “it is”, and “book’s” is the possessive.
However, if you had said “... so the book’s wrong” you are then using another contraction: “book is”. Again, the apostrophe is correct but for a different reason.

Bell has rung. Class dismissed. 😁
(Or if you like, “Bell’s rung.”)

If the truck stop is a large one and you pull up well out of the way so you aren't taking up a spot where a truck could park, no one really minds if you over night there. It is the pr*cks that park up in the main thoroughfare, set up the table and chairs and put the slide out in the path of any big rigs getting through that causes the upset. These are usually those who think the world revolves around them rather than trying to fit in with the trucks by staying out of their area.
We often find a dirt track leading out the back of the rest area where you can set up outside of the truck specific area and it is always far quieter out the back in the bush, dirt and generally fairly flat spots can be found with a fire pit already established
