Vic / NSW Border closes

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Jim Phearson [Phearson Transport] trucks run Sydney to Brisbane, homebase is Port Macquarie. On the north run from Port the driver changers over at Grafton and each goes back to his home base. Phearson has over 250 trucks on the road and with IT he knows where every truck is, what speed its doing and if speeding they [the drivers] get penalised.

Jim Pearson, inducted into the National Road Transport Hall of Fame, has, or had, a 'homemade' motorhome. An old Bedford Bus - a wolf in sheep's clothing. After he retired and passed the business to his son, using the facilities at the transport company he installed an Isuzu motor with Allison automatic transmission, and a 2-speed diff. The back wall of the bus was turned into a hydraulic ramp for his Daihatsu to be driven up and which was locked down with hydraulic rams. Etc. etc. Magnificant machine.
