Which one Diesel heater

Post by Dot »

I know this has been asked many times but this time I am going to ask for name (brand) customer service , warranties good or bad, extra bits to buy, importantly the noise level. and what size for 10mt bus, and how many outlets. Have had so many opinions but nothing really solid to make an informed judgement call. Come on guys lets have it

DONT buy from the one Bruce put up Dot .

If you buy off ebay check all the parts that you need are in the supplied picture , you need inlet and exhaust mufflers,
two outlets, digital control with remote and at least a 5kw for your bus and check for 12 or 24v system...I don't know which system you have in the bus .
We have a 5kw in the van....oversize but gets the heat up quick before settling down to the temp I have set .

We had a 2kw Planar diesel heater in the Coaster it was plenty big enough to warm our bus quickly, then turn it down to idle.
We bought it from Pinnacle Wholesalers, we had to replace a small part & was able to purchase same from Pinnacle that was a few years ago. The diesel heaters on EBay today appear to have everything & are definitely cheaper, we have been looking to buy one for the Trackmaster.

What do you know? Maybe I can be of assistance to somebody else for a change.

My neighbour and I have just finished an installation of one of the cheap Chinese heaters.
THIS ONE, to be exact.

And it turned out ace.

On this particular kit, he learnt to buy a different fuel line. The one supplied was not recommended. And change the supply cable from the battery to a larger gauge. That was it. Everything else we needed was in the kit.

He also recommends a PDF file he found. I'll attach a copy
Ahhhhh. No I won't. Can't attach PDF files.
Bugger!
No matter.
I can send it to anyone interested. Just shoot me an email address.

George,

The Chinese heaters adjust the fuel pump pulses and fan speed (air intake) which determines the (constant) heat output.

I believe some of the older systems have a simple on/off (full bore) mode.
