What a sack of old farts, the V8's are about the 2 cars H v F and the drivers. NZ driver driving an OLD holden won over the NEW falcoon. Where is Bobr? The sound of the cars is good enough for me.

Bernie,
Just a thought...
Rather than scrutineers ensuring that neither camp has a significant technical advantage over the other, maybe the 1000 should be a handicap race, with the fastest cars being flagged off a minute or five minutes (even 10 minutes ) after the slower cars, depending on the lap time differences.
THAT should produce an interesting final few laps! ๐Ÿ˜€
... or see a significant improvement in sandbagging techniques. ๐Ÿ˜œ

When a safety car is called the car that is half a lap ahead should start half a lap ahead when the safety car quits but i guess that would upset the gambling.

Formula 1 they do a virtual safety car. everyone has to maintain a set speed/lap time, keeps it spread out more naturally.
Did you see the interview after the race yesterday, even Van Gisbergen was complaining that they can't overtake, in his words boring...

"tanks" here---Peter,
I guess I'll have to just keep to driving the "Mazda-bater Wagon" around Dysart.
See you in June.

Worked all week end so didn't see any of it. Need to bring street car racing back so we have a proper Bathurst 500. Watch the "Street Outlaws" on Thursday night on channel 96 and the second show is no prep drag racing, now that is good value to watch. not the car with the most power, it's the car set up the best and driven the best that gets the $$ at the end of show. When they have an engine failure or spin out they can be spectacular and some quality driving to keep them off the wall and the roof 8-) The race can be won or lost in the pit, but without the driver control and spit second reaction times there would be no win light, no second chances or catch up with safety cars or time penalties for what ever .... and a result in seconds every time, love drag racing :D
