Re: Coronavirus discussion
Seems the numbies had another protest about masks and vaccinations in Brissy today. Will wait and see if it actually makes the news. The last couple attracted zero media response.

Just found this on fbk. Couldn't put pass it on.

Their attitude seems to be "If it's not reported , it didn't happen", so we can deny it.
Which gives you an idea of how low journalism has sunk, most of what we see on the TV news I have already seen on F Book 2 days before, complete with spelling and grammar faults.

Re: Coronavirus discussion
Ron,
Maybe the journos have woken up to the fact that the numbies are now just protesting to get their faces on the news.
Their so-called ‘Freedom Rallies’ are pointless when there’s no lockdown, and compulsory vaccination only applies to frontline health workers (makes sense) & critical services which, if they shut down, the protesters would be screaming blue murder to have restored.

Re: Coronavirus discussion
Heard from Margaret's son yesterday, both he and his lady have just recovered from Covid, didn't want to tell us earlier because they didn't want us to worry ..... just goes to show, not all kids are the same eh ... although, at nearly 31yrs of age, I guess he isn't really a kid any more ....both fully vaccinated, both in jobs that expose them to a lot of contacts, he is a driver for Star Trek and she is in something to do with marketing for dept defence ...... one of those jobs you can't talk about, then found out my baby daughter, who is also immunocompromised, was exposed to 5 other Covid positive people who she works with in an explosives manufacturing facility for dept Defence, another one with a job she can't talk about .... but she doesn't talk to me anyway so .....
Also heard from our multiple transplant friend back in the Illawarra, admitted to hospital on Friday with Covid, bad cough and exhausted after only a few mins on the phone .... fully vaccinated but immunocompromised because of the transplant anti rejection drugs and it seems to really have knocked her for 6 ... so fingers crossed she will be ok.
We get to go for our booster shots on Australia Day, can't be much more patriotic than that eh
I doubt I'd know if I was infected or not, I'm exhausted all the time lately ..... more likely too many birthdays disease causing that though

Re: Coronavirus discussion
We get really pi$$ed off with parents who make a big deal over their under-12 children having Covid vaccination.
When ours were young we told them it was a normal part of life, and wouldn’t hurt. It would just be a squeezy feeling on the arm, and pressed a thumb on the bicep to demonstrate.
They sat quietly & happily had their jabs. No bandaid, no lollipop after.
By contrast, we had to apply some Magnoplasm (drawing) cream to our five-year-old daughter’s finger to remove a thorn tip which was becoming festered. Our son (the little ba$tard) kept telling her it would sting REALLY badly.
When we put the cream on she screamed with pain.
Auto suggestion works.

Re: Coronavirus discussion
Natural selection is working!
Ninety-five percent of Victorians are double vaccinated.
Thirty-five Victorians died of Covid yesterday, MORE THAN 50% were unvaccinated, according to the gummint.
If this keeps going, we’ll be rid of ALL anti-vaxxers in about six months.
