I can't see anything wrong with that logic Ray.

That's all looking pretty good now Ray. Will it slow down the flow of rainwater when you have another deluge?
I hope Joy is on the way to a complete recovery. Seeing as though she is a retired school teacher she should be an accomplished Head Gardener Supervisor. :D

David,
SWMBO is a highly accomplished supervisor of gardener’s labourers (well, labourer — singular — actually).

And no, the garden bed is not in the path of floodwaters. The driveway performs that function — spectacularly.
Bulldozer Man was here today laying new & bigger gravel which we hope won’t migrate to the street in the next downpour. Pics will follow when he’s finished.
Regards & God bless,
Ray

That sure looks a lot better than it did back in January, when I last saw it.

On the concrete slab you stayed on... out of shot beyond the tree on the left margin.

David, the last downpour carved a 6" deep x 12" wide & 8ft long gully down the middle of the drive, along with various smaller but equally dangerous gullies meandering across the drive. It was a mess. Bulldozer Man brought his little tracked digger in next day & used the bucket to redistribute the existing black crusher fines back where they had been. Said he'd be back in six weeks with better rock. Delay was because he had a full diary of driveways to repair!
He was back in just over four weeks. :P
Love the result!!
