Another project done!

A lot of us have homes we spend some time in. Discussions can be about any topic that may be of interest that you can think of... renovations, purchases, expenses, etc, etc

Steel pipes on the bench at rear will be attached to the legs, then set in concrete to within 5~10cm of the wood.

Latest efforts at Men’s Shed:
Part 2.

Hall table restoration for a local lady.
We suspect someone mistook it for a stool.
One broken leg, frame under marble top had one corner torn out & screw-in nuts on three corners snapped, one missing.
Corner had to be rebuilt & imperial screw-ins replaced with metric ones. Then I had to re-cut the bolts from imperial to metric threads.
Three solid days work.

It was easier to post separately than sort out which pics were repeated and which were not placed in line.

Progress report on our Final (?) Garden Bed:
More plants planted, mainly Irises, with three lavender bushes transplanted and some other ‘green stuff’ (the name of which I have forgotten). 😁
Still to come: transplanting two roses, some groundcovers and weeping plants to share the Wisteria tubs.

Western part. Chinese Tallow tree in centre, Canna lilies in front. Border of Irises around edge.

Eastern part. Iris border, ‘green stuff’ with lavenders behind.

Here’s the arbor in the middle.
B3F8EE13-2F2A-4A79-A17C-057BE35498D5.jpeg
Crushed rock matches the driveway.
Three Pittosporums in triangular boxes at back will (we hope) eventually grow into a hedge backdrop to the cast iron & timber table and chairs I have yet to finish. 🤭
The greenery beyond the Pittosporums is our front ‘fence’, which, as you can see, is not quite 100% secure. 😀
Convenient gaps for us & front neighbour to wander back & forth at will.

Bernie,
We paid $20 each for Agaves!
Get onto Fb, find your nearest ‘Buy, Swap,Sell’ group and advertise them!
Better to receive money for them than pay to get rid of them!!!
