I am back!

Post by wayno »

Hi all,

Yes I have been off line for some years, but am coming back with more enthusiasm then ever.
I have been either too busy, working overseas or the missus has been too busy even for short trips.

Well, we decided to fix those problems. We both decided to agree to move forward in different directions and I don't need to work full time anymore.

As with probably some of you, I became very disenchanted with Caravanners Forum and joined OZeRVnews, which at the time was in it's infancy.

Work and family commitments took over, the van needed some work and the tug was aging, so the enthusiasm lapsed over time.

I am planning to do at least two laps around this land and zigzag all over in between to get any catch ups.

Already got the new tug, 2021 D'max Xterrain, now deciding on the Off Road Van.

Hope to reconnect and meet you all again.

Cheers Wayno ;)

Hi Dot,

Glad to be getting back into it. Yep, I have a lot to catch up with. Got the new tug, just gotta figure what's best plug into it.
Looking at full off road, not too big, but not too small. So busily punching numbers into the load calculator.
The D'max is awesome, the user manual is massive, so still learning about all the bits and tricks.

Yep, I am happy with the Bomber's direction. I think getting Ben Rutten over from Richmond will prove to be a masterstroke. I like his style and similar to Sheedy in many ways. Time will tell?

I will PM you later about TOFF. No, I don't know. I chatted to Lance a few days ago, but nothing was said or mentioned.

Cheers and talk soon,

Wayno ;)

Hi T1 and Margaret,

Yes, I have been off line for quite some time.

Work, family and Covid all played a part.

There is always a spot to park up in Mannum if you are ever over this way. Still have a bottle or two of the Durif ... well as long as you don't wait too long

Hi Terry,

I will be over your way eventually, just have to finalise things, get a new Van built and get back on the road. Time line is probably 2023, but still have the old van so might be sooner, just want one with a bathroom these days. Especially with a grey water tank set up.

Dot said your having a battle with shingles. Have you got it mild, medium or bad?

Hope it goes away soon.

Cheers and talk soon
