OK Dottie,
You win. Here’s a recipe for sausages & mixed veg.
1. Buy can of sausages & mixed veg at supermarket.
2. Open can & empty into saucepan.
3. Heat same.
4. Tip out onto plate.
5. Enjoy your meal.

Arh huh, flushed you out, looking forward to trying what ever you cook upDerekBullock wrote: ↑Fri Mar 18, 2022 11:55 amYesterday was St Pats Day which I completely forgot about so going to cook up an Irish Guinness Stew today together with a Soda Bread (Similar to Damper).
If I remember will post up the recipe. I’ll be using beef though instead of the traditional mutton.

Was hoping to cook it outside in a camp oven but the wet weather has moved in. Currently simmering away on the stove.Dot wrote: ↑Fri Mar 18, 2022 4:28 pmArh huh, flushed you out, looking forward to trying what ever you cook upDerekBullock wrote: ↑Fri Mar 18, 2022 11:55 amYesterday was St Pats Day which I completely forgot about so going to cook up an Irish Guinness Stew today together with a Soda Bread (Similar to Damper).

That's a fancy valve on the side of that pressure cooker Derek must be a big stew judging by the size of the pot .... and a special plastic too as well as a very big stove (not in photo) .......DerekBullock wrote: ↑Fri Mar 18, 2022 5:18 pmWas hoping to cook it outside in a camp oven but the wet weather has moved in. For those who like it a bit spicy:
2 Spanish Chorizo (skinned and sliced)
2 tins of baked beans in tomato sauce
1 tin of Australian crushed tomatoes
1 large onion finely chopped
2 tablespoons of maple syrup
As many drops of Tabasco that you can cope with.
Fry the chorizo in oil till well browned and releasing oil. Add in the chopped onions. Once transparent, add the beans and tinned tomatoes, maple syrup and Tabasco. Cook until heated through.
Serve over toast, boiled potatoes etc.
Freezes well.
