Just thought I'd throw this in here for those who are still sceptical about changing over to an EV and range anxiety being the big hurdle. This is a Tesla model Y being deliberately driven after the warning said the battery was empty, basically driving with the low fuel light on constant and the beeper going off.

The battery pack inverter/chargers in the boot are an interesting idea, so you can carry a jerry can in an EV

Here is another one of those "not in my life time" things quashed already Electric long haul tuck and trailer, both electrified and can recharge in 30 mins

With a combined E prime mover and an E trailer they are talking 600km between 30 minute recharges

 There is that whole gut twisting anguish about actually doing such a thing, but unless you are into concourse car competitions, the tide is not as strong against such actions as it was ..... when you look at the hotrod scene, they destroyed a classic vehicle to build it, the VW Kombis turned into DJ booths, snow mobiles, food vans, stretch bodies to create a longbie, Beetles made into beach buggies or kit cars ... the list goes on, so converting a classic to an EV, as long as you keep the original look, seems quite acceptable and even encouraged by some who I would have thought to be die hards who believed any modification was sacrilege
