Bloke goes into Bunnings and asks the kid behind the counter for twenty 2x4s.
Kid asks, “How long do you need them?”
Bloke replies, “Quite a while. We’re building a house.”

That must have been a US joke, here they are 4x2s or 100x50s.

You can't get 100x50's in framing timber anymore, only 90x45, or maybe even 90x42.
But I liked the joke. Ray must have a new joke book.

One of the parts guys at our local Repco in Wollongong often tells the story of a young Asian doctor who came in and asked for the price on a new motor for his mini, when asked if he wanted a long motor or a short motor the Dr thought for a while and then replied, better make it a short motor, there isn't a lot of room in there .... as straight faced as possible .... then started laughing because he could see the awkward look the parts guy had about how he was going to explain the difference between a reconditioned long motor and a short motor ......
