Racism is found in every aspect of society, no different to other forms of discrimination and I've put up with it all my life. It's the inability to accept difference and used by the inadequate, no different to thuggery. Those who are psychologically and intellectually inadequate always resort to abuse of some kind, our political system is proof of that and league is a thugs game which you see every time it's played and displays very little skills. But like boxing and other violent exhibitions there will always been those who get off on violence.

As for Barry Hall, I follow the swans and have never liked him, he should have been jailed over some of the things he did, just as others who commit violence on the field should be. But if that were to happen, they'd run out pf players in league and you don't se the amount of violence in AFL as in league. AFL have almost stamped it out, league condones and promotes it in all their adverts and promotions.

The round ball game is for those with a flare for the theatrical so I just don't bother watching it at all. If they came in with some sensible rules, like the player doing the roll around on the ground has to go off for a full medical by independent medical staff and spend time in the sin bin or simply out of the game for their trouble ..... then the teams might shut the nonsense down because they would be a player short for the rest of the game .......

Football = Soccer
AFL = Footy (bring back the old rules and play on real grounds, mud and all.)

With the rules both use these days, maybe the "F" should be replaced with the letter after the second letter in the word wrongly used to make those games sound as good as NRL ;) :lol:
If the other codes tried to play NRL .... except for Rugby Union, there would be enough players left to put a team out for the second half, that includes the yankee game where they have pads and helmets and change the teams to suit which phase of the game they are playing :roll:
NRL is a rough tough game played by mega fit athletes, they wouldn't get up after the big tackles if they weren't mega fit, yet they have to have great passing skills and pin point accuracy if they are going to be competitive .... AFL players don't really fit that description, do they?
Imagine if AFL had to pass the ball backwards rather than forwards and all the players from each team had to stay behind the ball or the kicker to remain on side?

The rugy players all end up brain dead and ugly ones at that, the AFL boys wear nice tight shorts, have the right amount of muscles and can jump higher. Plus there is no Hop-a-warties in AFL :lol: :lol: :lol:

AFL players do play the ball backwards, forwards and sideways, by hand and foot. As for fitness, there have been at least two NRL players who switched to ALF and neither could handle the fitness required and sustainability for 120minutes.

You fail to mention NRL is played over 100m x 75m for 80minutes, they only go one way and only one or two ever kick the ball, NRL players run between 4-6klms a game. AFL is played for over 120 minutes, on grounds measuring over 150 x 150m and they run in every direction constantly, players cover up to 20klms a game and even the stay at home forwards outdo the NRL players for distance by about double, that's being fit. AFL includes many skills, including punching the ball between 20 and 25m. NRL just gouging, throwing punches and the throwing the ball for a couple of metres every now and then.
