A few quotes…

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Another quote:
“If the government comes up with a good idea, we’ll support it.”
— Anthony Albanese

When Malcolm Turnbull made a similar statement, he lost the top job in the Liberal Party!

🤔
Is this the Kiss of Death for Albo?
Or is it just an indicator of how ruthless the Liberals are?

Pity we don't have a Labor Gov we could have got 1500 plus insulation plus new school halls plus ................
We wouldn't have to worry as we won't live long enough to pay it back. (Gov debt)
I see Victoria has been downgraded by Moodys?
How much lower could Victoria be down graded? Isn't it only some of those who actually still live in Victoria haven't down graded the state?

Well,
The People have spoken!

Obviously ScoMo was on the nose with lots of people… especially professional women.

However, Albo can’t gloat. He won with the lowest vote in donkey’s years. I guess all that means is that, in the opinion of the general populace he’s less malodorous than ScoMo.

Teal appears to be the new black. 🤭😀

One political analyst says Australia’s Two Party system of government is now definitely broken. Hopefully that means the old saying is now correct: “All government is local.”

…and apparently the major parties can no longer get away with parachuting in a favoured apparatchik to override local party branches in places … oh, let’s be fanciful and say f’rinstance somewhere it’s unlikely to happen … like Western Sydney. 😜

Everyone is allowed to have an opinion Bruce. That's one of the good things about living in a free and democratic society, like Australia.
But like someone said a lot of years ago, you can please some of the people most of the time...........
Scomo was on the nose, some of his close allies could see it and buggered off. Now we just have to hope that Albo doesn't want to change too much stuff too quick.
We had a bloke called Campbell Newman up here in Qld, who thought he was gunna raise he'll with a big stick a few years ago. He didn't last long. I think he just ran for the Senate, dunno how he went. I think Pauline is gunna be looking for a new job too.
It's strange times that we are living in.

I doubt we will end up with the European problem where they can't seem to elect enough leeches that think along the same lines to actually form a workable govt.
I wonder if ScoMo did as much damage to the LNP as Malcolm Fraser did and leave them out in the cold for 13 yrs or more again ..... time will tell I guess. It would be hard for them to form a minority govt because they are already two minority parties as it is, so adding even more minority parties would make a barely cohesive govt into a complete shitte-show.
Yet to see if the LNP can hold it together as it is, the Liberal side of the numbers is not looking to good at all.

Albo is a completely untested item and all we can do is pray that he's better than the last Red's-book shows.( Gill-rudd )

BTW if "Scomo" stands for Scott Morrison
Then "Anal" should be applied to Anthony Albanese.
All in the name of correct journalism, where a precedent has already been set, which is something that's extremely scarce these days.

ScoMo picked his own nickname so no precedent set there except that Albo can pick his own nickname if he wants ......
Let's be realistic here, if the voters knew in advance what they were getting with ScoMo, do you think he would have ever been elected?
