A few quotes…

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

A few quotes…

“I don’t hold the hose.”

“We’re at the front of the queue for vaccines.”

Senator Payne was “not the right person to send at that time”.

“no credible information” to suggest China would establish a naval base in Solomon Islands, despite a warning from his Defence Minister.

If it was me I'd invite them here to set up half a doz bases & then get them to clean up a few Gov houses.
Cheaper than buying a couple of tin cans to get laughed at!

Another quote:

“Everyone receiving Government support payments will receive a one-off payment of $250 to help with cost-of-living increases.”

(Anyone seen theirs yet? We haven’t. And it won’t cover the cost of a single refill of Girt, let alone ongoing costs!)
Not sure if this was a Government Decision or an election promise…

Oh, goody!
That means sometime before Christmas (provided fuel prices don’t increase) I’ll be able to half-fill Girt! 🙄

No, wait a minute! The halving of the fuel excise ends in September, so I’ll only be able to buy ⅓ of a tank! 😩

We have an independent MP, Helen Haines.
She has been campaigning for more mobile phone towers for years.
Suddenly, with an election in the offing, the Liberals have promised us a new phone tower… IF we ditch Helen in favour of the Liberal candidate.
🤔
I think I prefer Helen Haines MP.
I still remember ‘Honest’ John Howard’s explanation that there are ‘election promises’ and ‘core promises’. 😠😤

Interesting clip on ABC NEWS24 tonight.
Setting: a factory somewhere.
Close-up of a sign, “If you mess up, ‘fess up!”
Enter a couple of workers & bloke in shirt & tie.
Workers, apparently under the direction of the tie-man, cover the sign with a hi-viz jacket.
Cut to pollies walk-through with covered sign right of frame. Centre of frame is… guess who?
ScoMo!

🤔I wonder why the factory management thought it necessary to cover that sign in particular?? 🤔🤔🤔

Money is in Ray.
Pity we don't have a Labor Gov we could have got 1500 plus insulation plus new school halls plus ................
We wouldn't have to worry as we won't live long enough to pay it back. (Gov debt)
I see Victoria has been downgraded by Moodys?
