I'll get a photo of Fred tomorrow Dot, he wouldn't stop climbing up my arm this afternoon which made it a little difficult to photograph him/her.

It's fantastic when the wild birds get friendly.
We have king parrots that are very quiet.

Great pix, George!!
Looking forward to seeing a selfie of you and Fred! 😀
When we had Paddy and The Beagle, our semi-tame family of magpies were totally relaxed about the dogs.
They simply ignored each other. The birds were quite confident walking within a foot of either dog.
Fast forward to now.
Both greyhound girls seem to have a pathological intolerance of the maggies.
After an initial retreat to the other side of the fairway they now play games with the girls. They sit on the fence or the fountain and wait for the girls to charge then fly into the low branches of our trees at the very last moment. You can almost see the birds poking out their tongues… 😜
I just wish the girls would learn to tolerate the maggies. Even an armed truce would be acceptable.
Regards & God bless,
Ray

You get much prettier parrots than we do George, but we certainly can outduck you. I hope this is some of our ducks, can't tell in the tiny pics.

Here you go Dot, photos of Fred as requested. As you can see he has no wing or tail feathers so will live as a runner and wouild not have survived in the wild.

Reason why people are told not to feed wild birds, breads, biscuits, meat, mince meat all cause defects in offsprings.
Fred is a handsome looking little guy, good that he has found a home & protection with you George.
