You are correct Jon. D but Mc Cormick Deering manufactured rail tractors for the logging tramways in Australia, one used to go past near your Taggerty property.

The rail tractor at Marysville is a Fordson rail tractor, but the various
rail tractors were very similar in design, just different motors and drives. This rail tractor at Erica without a roof is the one I found in the bush in 1972, it's a Mc Cormick Deering.You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

A lot of land clearing since 1972..... It is amazing what you find walking along the tracks.This rail tractor at Erica without a roof is the one I found in the bush in 1972, it's a Mc Cormick Deering.
