Hi Eddie, there was about 3 or 4 threads under the gunk.
I cleaned them as best as I could, then just took my time, only had about half inch to go...luck was on my side... maybe 🤔
The thread will continue when I get my spring back from the repair people.

I put anti-sieze on the bolts that hold the exhaust pipe into the manifold. Never given any problems when ever I need to remove it. (removed when taking out the engine.)

Brilliant stuff. but be careful. It has nickel in the paste which may not be very healthy. ie; don't smear it with your fingers.

BernieQ, remember to put the airbags back in and then check out the fridge for a few cold ones.

Thanks mate, the old mind does wander and loose ability to recall detail. I remember the song and sang it many-many times as I flew around Australia from one side to the other.

Soon as you mentioned it, the old tune springs up in the head. I was about 7 ish when they started those adverts.
