I saw Ukuleles mentioned, let's talk Ukes.

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

I saw Ukuleles mentioned, let's talk Ukes.

Post by Lance »

Shirley has mentioned Ukuleles in a coupla past threads and I reckon we should get it all together and chat about Ukes.
Annee and I started playing Ukes about 3yr ago after our daughter bought Annee one for Chrissy and we started muckin about in the yard and then decided we needed to get some lessons if we were going to be serious about it.
Still doing those lessons, and yep, still serious about ukes.

You need to get together with Dee she is a Uker, one of the best... Looks like you and Annie might be the entertainment at one of our famous get togethers.

Tuning is quick and simple with a $5 tuner from eBay.
They really are an easy instrument to play with only 3 chords needed to play great music.
Knowing the C, G and F chords will get you started, after that a good sense of timing and rythm of the particular tune will get you on stage.

I can see a muso get together happening soon.
I know of a music teacher here in Mannum. If it has strings he'll help you along the way!

Q: What's the difference between a Guitar and a Ukelele?
A: The Ukelele sinks quicker.

Q: How long does it take to tune a Ukelele?
A: No-one knows.
:D

I have now exhausted my total retinue of Ukelele jokes.
I shall now go and stand in the corner. :P
