Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Just heard that there’s someone in Melbourne still doing makeup, eyebrows & fingernails.
But I don’t think I’d like to make an appointment.
It’s a funeral director.

We have a JW that regularly sends us invitations in the post to attend functions at his church, after visiting us at home for sometime, we believe that he really believes he is helping people but we couldn't get it thru to him that we weren't interested in joining his church.😢Bruce ended up just telling him we do not want you or any of your folk coming to our house.

It's just as simple to tell them that you are a practising Catholic. That has always worked for me. Even though I'm not.

If I am the one that answers the door I say I am busy but I shall get George. I then go and tell G someone wants to see him at the front door   He falls for it every time but he does stay and talk to them .There was a lovely couple that used to come but never talked religion. I did chuck a mental when in NZ and I was on night duty, the door bell kept ringing so when I saw who it was (a fellow worker) I really let her have it, I even had a "do not disturb" sign on the door.

Had a pair of JWs knock on my door many years ago.
Their opening line was, “God has directed us to your home…”
And before he could get another word out, I replied, “I think He meant next door. We’re Seventh Day Adventists.” and shut the door in his face. 😀
(We’re not.)
