Australian Trivia Only

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Nup.

That was the official/public reason for Voyage #1.
Measure the time of the transit of Venus across the moon. A failure, as cloud made the measurement inaccurate.
The real reason was to check out the Great South Land.

Try again.

Thats pretty much what I found as well Shirley. He found Norfolk Island on the same trip I think. Not sure if he stopped in at Tahiti on that voyage, or if that was his last. They sure weren't afraid of venturing into the unknown back then

Got it again, Shirley!
The Admiralty sent Cook back out to find what he’d already found!
Second voyage he sailed in the Resolution, accompanied by the Adventure.

You get the giant (gf) lollipop again! 😁

Your turn…

Hmmmmm…
Shirley is a little slow responding, 😜
So I’ll have another go.
What is the connection between the Grey Lady in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and James Packer?

(And no, he wasn’t married or engaged to her! )

Does the connection have anything to do with James Packer's threats to Ben Gray, Crown Resorts Mr X ?
