A DST Problem

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

A DST Problem

Post by Greynomad »

With the ending of Daylight Savings, I’m struggling to reset my analog/digital watch to AEST.
Had to dig out the manual, as I do twice a year, and find my magnifying glass to read it...
Have to reset both the analog hands & the digital display.
It’s very handy when travelling... hands are set to local time, digital display remains on home time so I don’t phone Son-&-Heir at an inconvenient time...
At home, both are set to the same time.
Has taken me 30 minutes so far......... :?
Different story with my smart watch. It resets automatically, taking the time from my iPhone.
Unfortunately it only displays one time zone.
(It’s also not swimming pool proof. 😥 Other watch is. 😀)
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Different problem here. Took six months to work out which clocks were on the right time, summer or winter time. Now I have to remember they are all opposite.

My g'daughter always sets the time on my oven after blackouts etc., takes me forever mucking around with it, she does it in seconds 🤣🤣

Given the frequency of blackouts here, I have become an expert at resetting the time on our oven, microwave & a/c none of which will function unless the clock is functional.
The fun bit is resetting the two clocks in the car.
Dashboard clock is on a separate system to the clock in the built-in GPS.
Dunno why... :?
