Lance, That sounds OK. I got an online quote from TNT and it was around $350, I have tried "Rocky's own" a local company and their quote is around $150. The closest town to where we will be in a week or so is Gladstone so if you can get a quote to there it would be great. Alan who has the rim suggested I work on 28kg, dimensions are ok

Yep, that extra 400+Km up to Gladstone from Maroochydore is expensive.
That,... plus over 25kg.......... :(

Aust Post won't take over 25kg on our account, but TNT will,...... with surcharges.
Working with 28kg, in a box 70x70x50 TNT want $142.33 at our discount rate.

Working with 24kg, in a box 70x70x50 TNT want $118.47 at our discount rate.

Starting to look like you may need to wait for a friendly traveller heading that way, or perhaps keep looking for a rim closer to home....... :|

Thanks for that Lance, I have checked with a local company and I can get it to Gladstone for about the same, will weigh up my options, maybe a good Samaritan will come along.
