Life is too short.
well that's a defeatist attitude ... I plan to live for ever, I have enough projects to keep me going for at least that long  Been a few bumps in the road, but so far so good ;) 8-)

That's my attitude as well.
I'm gunna live forever!
Every morning I wake up I think "That's another one down" so far so good"
Now all I have to do is to get my body to agree with me and I'm all set.

Now that I've established my mindset, youse that say "life's too short" ... well any dust you stirred up ain't gunna be cleaned up if you are only here for a short time.

Perhaps time to give the forum a rest for a while.
Say shut it down for a month then open it up again and see who is left and what the people want to do.
The moderators have a life and they don't want to, nor be expected to be online every minute of the day in case someone wants to have a hissy fit.
I for one normally don't read many of the posts and when they get spicy I stop looking at them anyhow.
I do not read certain persons posts, as I know I will not agree with their ideals and I don't think it important to air my views on forums or facebook etc.
If a post goes against your ideas, leave it alone and dont be a dog with a bone and have to have the last word, as that only works when you are in a personal group and you can punch the other person down and that is not what we desire.
Thats my thoughts and will no go and do something usefull.

Sorry Brian don't agree with that suggestion.
You don't shut a school down just because a few children can't play together.
You do what I used to often get, detention, and if that doesn't work then they get expelled, sometimes for a limited time, sometimes for good.
Oftentimes rebellious kids will have to attend another school - so be it.

It's really the same here, a couple of childlike individuals getting upset and carrying on and on at others.
It's not the forum's fault.
As for moderators having a life - I totally agree, so instead of letting the children back in the class, give them a time out.

Whilst you and I have similar outlooks when it comes to what we do on a forum, this one is used by a number of people to stay in touch on a daily basis.
Would be a shame to see that disappear.

Cheers,
Bernie B
I plan to stop procrastinating tomorrow.

I'm hoping that won't be necessary Brian, I think most of the niggling has settled down now.
Certainly no more threads about Australia Day for a while ;) and maybe hotel quarantine???
