Jon, we are doing this on the cheap, so we had a steak sandwich and chips from the takeaway at the supermarket.
Bernie , thanks for the heads up on the golf course. It's $10 pn now.

It has just s started to rain a little here at the Stanley Golf Course/ Showground. Luckily no wind here we are yet.

Dot, hope you are having the fun that Shirley says you are having xxxx
Watched some of the events today but had to come home...too much to get organised. The highlight of today's viewing was the people riding stockhorses, and carrying flags, doing some fancy precision riding. They were wonderful to watch and left us wondering how in heck do they arrange the choreography for these events? So after watching this highlight, we had an uneventful trip home.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Regarding our NBN and internet, an NBN guy came this morning and advised that the modem is kaput so called DODO and after being on hold for 17 minutes they finally agreed to send a new modem which I should receive ?. Still unable to connect via hotspot to my phone.

Dot, have immigration declared you to be a danger to their society yet? XXXX
George, I don't know how good you should get the NbloodyN stuff, but we still are using our wifi dongly thing for all of our internet and we get better speeds here with that, than the friends who have the full on NbloodyN. I suspect that the wifi network is going to overtake the wires n stuff soon.
Had another busy day, finished off firing jewellery, only have a couple of plates to have their second firing tomorrow and that will be the end of firing up the kiln for 6 months. I wonder how long it will be before I get withdrawal. Still have a lot of weird jobs to get finished around the house, but we will be leaving home very soon.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
We are now parked up at Sheffield. Hopefully we might catch a bit of the action of the yearly Steam Festival before we pack up and head to Devonport and back on the boat. We went to the marble museum today and watched a bloke making beautiful stuff out of blobs of glass. He was happy to talk about what he was doing as it gave him a break from the 1600deg heat of his blowtorch. I am a bit disappointed that we will miss most of the going on here, but we will schedule it in for when we next return.
I'm happy to see that D&G have surfaced in the land of the long white cloud and are probably still laughing about something.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Here I am again, been a busy time for sure. Not moving back here any time soon, average house in the 700k and upwards, food is extravagant and petrol is $2.24 + and Auckland's petrol has a 15cent tax on top of the ? normal price. Lots of non English speaking people and terrible drivers to boot. Shit roads and the new gang wars fighting for the others drug areas (The Oz boys that have been deported back here) Nice and warm but very muggy. I think we should start a "go fund me" page and get the sheep shagger and his ewe back to Oz. Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
We told the NBN to stick it where the sun doesn't shine and told the landline people and the WiFi people who supplied the internet to the workshop the same ting. We now have joined plans on our mobile phones with Optus and use them as mobile hot spots for the computer, TV and as a phone too
60gb every mth at a speed faster than the NBN or the WiFi providers could do at a cost cheaper than any one of them on their own. Margaret has now discovered the joys of Spotify, so we are listening to all sorts of music as we drive without the need to upload it to thumb drives etc, it just builds play lists as we go.
Spending the night at Jugiong so we can get a fresh start on the Canberra leg of the trip tomorrow. Good night all

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Welcome back Dot. Are you sure they will let you out after saying those nasty things about the backward places that you have been?
xxxx
Ticked a few more things off the lists. Packed up most of the business boxes, just a few fancy plates to be wrapped in bubble wrap, but they were still in the kiln starting to cool down tonight. So that job will be completed tomorrow. Tomorrow will be the sorting of drugs for the next 6 months...such fun....not.
