Well Dot, the next question is : are you going to be welcomed back into Aus? I reckon if you have a container load of dunny paper, they will greet you like a long lost mate. xxxx
Had a very tiring day today. Have started to put things into their places in the van. As water is so iffy around the rural areas, I have put in extra cartons of drinking water this time. I expect the dunny paper thing to die down fairly soon. Surely the people who have been panic buying will have enough to last a few weeks by now. Local junk shop had palmolive hand sanitiser on their counter today, $10 each and then turn it over to find the product is made in Thailand. Not sure how sanitary that would actually be, but what a way to capitalise on peoples' insecurities. Nice profit for some.

I think Australia already has a law against such profiteering.dream4red wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 12:20 am Local junk shop had palmolive hand sanitiser on their counter today, $10 each and then turn it over to find the product is made in Thailand. If not, I think it's in the current list of urgent bills to deal with Covid-19...
And what is it with the toilet paper thing anyway?
The Corona virus (or as one of my friends calls it, the "Corolla Virus"

"tanks" here---
Light rain just started to fall on Dysart, so it is goodnight to you all from me.
Happy dreams while listening to the rain falling on the roof
Keith.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Coupla days of good gentle rain has refilled our water tanks to overflowing.
A fine one today, so SWMBO was out tending the garden, spreading fertiliser/mulch, & generally cleaning up.
Unfortunately I am not allowed to use the ride-on or push-along mowers, so she had to learn how to use the ride-on.
She’s a hero in my book!
All I could do was watch. Bl^#*y frustrating!
Temperature has been in the mid-20s all week. Looks like more rain 🌧 this week.
At last everything is returning to green, and grass is spreading over bare patches.
Yippity yay!! Send ‘er down, Huey!!!!
And good night to D&G, and Tanks, and everyone!

Glad Norman has sighted Dot n George, at least we know they made it that far xxxx
Ray, I am sure the profiteering will only get worse as these morons start runs on other things. I ordered a salmon sandwich today and the lady in the deli told us that there are no supplies of any tinned fish anywhere in Taree as people have decided to stock up on that now too. Pathetic, is all that I can say. They dont seem to realise that there will still be groceries able to be delivered to homes if they are quarantined. Just so silly for what is essentially a flu virus. I think the world and local press have pushed this mentality to a ridiculous level.
Had a long drive to Wauchope today. The rain started up as we left Taree and has not stopped. This area was one of the really badly affected by bushfires not so long ago and now the place is getting drenched. The poor farmers, have dealt with animal losses due to drought, then fire and now the paddocks look amazing and most of the farms have no animals to put on the pastures.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Evening Dotty, wherever you may be xxxx
Took the scenic route to get across the big mountain range...not many hairpins but a lot of narrow roads with big drop offs close to the edge and tight corners. The trees are starting to recover from the fires, so they look a bit like French poodles and the amazing things to see, was the number of tree ferns. They were all newly fronded, lush and growing in large clumps and were just spectacular. The road had nowhere to pull off safely, so I couldn't take pics, but it was certainly a memorable drive. Stopped off in Armidale tonight, heading to Glen Innes tomorrow to start off our w**king weekend.

"tanks" here ---Dot,
Is that a bunch of bananas in your left hand. Is that for the 3 of you or are you keeping the bunch for yourself. Just be careful that your knuckles don't drag on the floor as yo walk, now that you are back in Australia.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Where ya been Dot? Isn't NZ part of Aus yet? Have any troubles getting back in? Welcome home mate xxxx
Last night the computer kept telling me that this group is non existent, so I missed you all last night. I'm glad that my computer could find you all tonight. Had a slow day for sales today, very predictable. Only had 4 customers who spent money. Nothing we can do to change that, so lets just smile and get over it. Tomorrow is another day.
Happy weekend everyone,
nighty night xxx
