Good to see you had special treatment at the physio Dot. You deserve to have some positive breaks some times. xxxx
Spent time argu-ing with some stuff to make all the trims on the window black. Fancy new tin, just rubbed off and I followed the directions perfectly.
Went down to the shed and found an ancient tin of stove blacking that I used when I built the glass for the front door , 14 years ago. It needed a lot of stirring to get the junk off the bottom of the tin, but it was really black. It also decided to rub off easily, when I followed their directions. So I have bit the bullet and painted the lead very thickly with the black goo and hopefully tomorrow it will do the right thing. Otherwise, I may resort to cheating and use some black enamel paint.

Enjoy the serenity Dot. xxxx
I spent today cleaning off the black gunk that I rubbed onto the metal parts yesterday. As soon as I touched it, it just rubbed off. So more chemicals were found in the back of the shed and another day spent rubbing stuff on to make the solder and lead work look more like they should look. This one was a very stinky acid and it seems to have worked. So tomorrow will be the final clean and then I wait for the frame builder to finish his part of the job.

Dot, 4 kgs is a great gain. Something must finally be working right. xxxx
The framebuilder and I had a gain today too. We decided to lay the frame flat on my table and do the silicone part while the frame was down on the table. So the outer glass edges have been stuck in place and are curing before we fit the whole frame to the window. The centre of the window is the cupboard doors with panels, so they will be screwed in place tomorrow once the frame is up in the window. I wish I could put pics up here as it would make a lot more sense to just show you what is happening.

Oh well shite happens huh? After the Drs we went looking at cars again, this time we lobbed into the Kia show room, hmmmm how confusing is all that jargon in those pretty flyer things? I found out that I can plug my phone in to a plug and the GPS and other stuff pops up on the screen
Then with a fist full of pretty broachers we headed home for a well earned rest. So goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, if you ever find a car yard that tells you all the facts in a way that you understand, keep going back. I hate car shopping, so much that now we do most of our research online and compare the vehicles only after we have narrowed it down to 2 or 3 cars. Good luck with that xxxx
We are still working on the window installation. His nibs is needing to get some fancy screws from the hammer shop tomorrow...maybe soon it will be up. I did a bit of kiln cooking and will see what results are tomorrow. I piled up some broken up bits of failed plates and let them all fuse together. Will see what sort of mess I have created in the morning.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
The last guy was really great with his explanations and has even offered to set up my phone for what ever into the car's screen ???? have no idea but will find out. The other place we went to was not a salesmans arse, I had to tell him some of the things a car was not equipped with ie air con vents for the back seats, and the headlights were not LED's but halogen. To me that is one guy you do not buy a car off. Had my chin freeze today
Geeze it is dam freezing tonight, rain, wild winds, thunder, lightening so I am off to bed e buys now Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, keep up the research for your car and whatever you buy, make it fun.xxxx
Window is up, but his nibs ran out of bits of window trim that actually does the holding it all in place. So another trip to the hammer shop tomorrow, paint some strips of wood and then, maybe it will be done. So far I am pretty happy with how it's looking. The kiln work came out ok, but I added some more bits of glass and put it back in for another fry up tomorrow. NO rest for the wicked around here.
