Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Job finally done today. Had two v large eucalyptus trees removed from the back yard.
Took three bloques two six-hour Saturdays to bring them down without flattening either the house or the water tank.
Total now six big assorted eucalyptus & four small self-sown she-oaks removed. That leaves us with five big ironbarks and one enormous greygum... and a good clear view of the golf course!
So we spent the morning raking up debris — three wheely bins full — then after lunch, relaxing and drinking in our now much better view out the back.
Now we might even get some grass growing!!

G’nite Dottie. G’nite all.

Oh dear Ray,,,, how many reds did you have? bloques? then you are going to grow grass OMG..
Did you keep the wood and get the leaves and twigs put through the chipper ? If you don't use the wood yourself you could sell it next year for a good price..

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
No reds, Dottie. I’m still on painkillers.

Bloques are upper class blokes... who wear socks with their thongs.
And the grass is the stuff you mow, not smoke.
Boss-man halved the price in exchange for the wood, which suits us, cos we’d have to store 2~3 tonnes of v large logs for maybe two years before we could get it split for burning.
We’d rather pay him later to deliver a 1/2 tonne load of already dried & split wood.
He also had a buyer for two truckloads of woodchips... which brought the price down even further.

Dot, stay warm down there xxxx Not rushing to put stuff on f**kbook Dot. Can't be bothered with the people who want to buy stuff. It means having to go to the post office and that would be the epicentre of all germs in this village. Maybe soon-ish, some more pics will go up. Gotta have something worth taking pictures too.
Ray, you sure have been busy
yesterday's kiln load was a big flop. The plate that was meant to be getting bent, just exploded into 6 bits. So today I spent a lot of time putting the surviving bit into a different plate, to try again soon. I made a fancy loaf of bread with pumpkin, cheese and garlic scrolled through it. It was different and yum.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
filled in my hosp admittance via this machine
well when I had gone to all that trouble and pressed the send button I had another check over and noticed I had filled in the paediatric papers in, no wonder I was wondering why are these weird questions eg breast or bottle fed, nappies, etc but just skipped that part so tomorrow I will have to ring the hosp and try to explain that my husb did it
My sprog turned 50yrs old about now , now if that doesn't make one feel old
Time to hit the sack so goodnight everyone x
Goodnight Peter n Sandra x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, let the hospital peoples have a laugh and then sort it all out. Sounds very familiar, those forms are a nightmare to complete and there is never enough room for all the drugs stuff that they think they are entitled to know. xxxx
Did a kiln run this morning, only to find that I hadn't chopped enough glass off the corners of the plate. It wouldn't fit nicely into the kiln. So I filled the kiln with some stuff for molds and went back to bed. After breaky, I sorted out the plate, chopped off another centimetre from each layer of glass at each corner, and tomorrow I will start that one all over again. Never a dull moment here

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Well this morning I rang the admitting people at the hospital and confessed about my stuffed up forms, so they sent me another form which I have just finished. Where it asks what sex are you I put a
and also ticked the " other" box for the Question about what is your nationality
Bored and pissed off with silly questions. Now I am going to bed so goodnight everyone x
Goodnight Ray x
BTW you have a PM waiting.
Keep at that kiln work Deborah.

Dot, repeat after me "Aussie Aussie Aussie Oy Oy Oy" Here's your certificate and welcome to Aussie. SIlly isn't it? You jump through their hoops and they still ask you to jump higher. Slave driver. xxxx
The kiln had a warm day today, will check the result in the morning. The rest of the day was spent cutting out a new warm nighty, ready for sewing tomorrow. Chiro again tomorrow, so apart from the sewing, not much will be done.
