Walker Flat S.A.

Post by ozfueler »

Currently at Walker Flat after a wonderful stay with Dot and George.

Beautiful spot with excellent free camping at the boat ramp north of the ferry on the western side of the river.

The spectacular sandstone cliffs and a full Murray River are nothing short of breathtaking, will be here for a week or so whilst waiting for the 36 to be repaired before heading north.

Heard that WF was a haven for water sking, and peace and quiet was rare during the day, especially weekends.

True or just a rumour spread by those who want to keep it to themselfves.

Steve, Norman wants to know what time you expect to be back here so we can run another sweep and if you are planning any detours ??

Peter it used to be a little like that in holiday periods but now it is very quiet and relaxing, except for the heat.

We noticed a motor home camped for the night on the east side lookout above the ferry, but it was too late to go and say hello. They would have a beautiful view up and down the river, but would have missed the cliffs changing colour as the sun set, it really is worth having a look at WF.

Dot you know that our detours are never planned :? but we may get some directions from Norman and then who knows ;)

We'll try to give you at least a couple of days notice though, just in case
