A quiet lair day in crazy weather again. I did manage some shed time and sliced up a fancy bit of glass into 1/2 inch strips to make a bowl...time will tell how good it looks.

Good night all today was a day of small mishaps which accumulated in hours of pain Which is slowly getting less.

Dot, I wish we lived closer. Stewed or bottled peaches are a favourite around here. I still have the old vacola kit somewhere, but last time I tried to buy the rubber rings for the bottle seals, I just gave up in disgust. Have fun at physio xxxx

Finally feel that the kiln load today was a success. What started the day looking like a saucer, now looks like a decent sized bowl. So I am much happier with my glass today.
Today's weather? Cold, sunny, dry, cloudy, thunder storms, huge thunder claps and lightning, sunny, big winds, heavy rain. And that was just this afternoon. What the? Beats bushfires, only just.

I just looked up 'Vacola sealing rings' on e-bay:- 5 pack x 12 rings [size 3] $29.95 post free, from Strathmore Victoria, the seller is ultimate home and health. Also 10 packs x 12 rings for $53 p/h free.
There are several sellers listed and several sizes available.
Bunnings "Kitchen Warehouse" also list several sizes for on-line sales ex NSW,
Bunnings listing is for size 4 rings, 3 inch, which fit bottle numbers 31, 36, & 65. $5.95 for pack of 12 rings.
