Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

So, yesterday was ST PATRICK'S DAY.
Who sung "Wearing of the Green" or the other classic Irish song; "It's a Great Day for the Irish".

Good morning all- hi Chuck. Did you see the photo from a couple of pages ago. Misting early this morning but very hot sun out now and muggy. He cannot work out what to do- spray weeds or mow! Apparently rain back again tomoro. Only about 60 from this "system". We walk out our front door now and a pair of Scaley- Breasted Lorikeets us for landing pads! Been here about a week. have advertised as they so quiet thinking might have been pets. The bossy Rainbow Lorikeets really give them a hard time. Stay safe if travelling. We (me) too many appts before taking off end of July.

What a nightmare  I can buy a second hand ABS module for $150....better than $1400 plus fitting from the VW shop.
That was it for the day, still have a sore knee?
Bernie.
Be sure to double check all battery negative cables that go to the body as well as the negative for the ABS modules before you plug it in or you will have a dead ABS module. The faulty negative to body ends up running through the brake lines and back through the ABS wiring and fries the module.

There seems to be just one electric plug-in cable that goes to the ABS Terry.

Yes, but where that cable plugs into the harness, there will be a chassis connection wire so the negative circuit is completed. This connection point will have a multitude of other cables all connected to the single lug and that will connect to either the body/chassis or the transmission/engine case. This contact must be cleaned to bright metal on both the lug and the metal that it connects against with some anti corrosive paste in between the surfaces and the same goes for every negative cable coming from the battery ...... every surface must be bright metal clean and corrosive protection paste applied, then firmly tightened. This is the primary cause of most if not all electronic problems in a motor vehicle, the dead sensors and components are generally the resultant damage caused by the voltage spikes these bad negative connections cause
