I'm just hoping the sparkie that signs off on my work is ok with the extent of the rewire and the cables running through conduit across the van roof ... other wise I'm screwed .....

Rang the sparkie, apparently the orange conduit is for under ground and is not UV proof, so poor Margaret has had to do a dash to Adelaide the pick up black UV certified conduit. He was happy with my verbal explanation of what I've done so far, just need to get it finish for Saturday so he can come and do the earth tests etc.
Managed to thread the 2.5mm sq cable through the roof cavity and through to the power box, saves more holes in the roof and conduit outside. Managed to pull all the crook cables out, a few with the outer white layer and insulation rubbed through a touching the steel body frame, I guess part of the reason the previous inverter let the smoke out and the strange continuity readings I was getting .... on the finishing stretch now I think.
