Re: Good morning daily
Good morning all,
Cloudy morning here in Ca$ino. But I'm packing the 5'er and off tomorrow for Beresfield [N'castle] to get the Iveco serviced then to Cardiff to get the 5'er serviced and pink slip. Then to Rutherford to get a new TV aerial [VanTenna] installed will be interesting to see how it works.
It will feel good to be on the road again after four months here in Ca$ino, even if its now my home base. I should be back in Ca$ino in two weeks and then off to Bingara for the CMCA rally [Jo Tremain the rally Manager]. No idea where to after that but will be in Berry showground in January with Barry Edwards. Was going to go to Stone the Crows but thats been cancelled, wonder about if they will start again in 2024 at a different venue. Good chance I might get to Taggerty this year [if the 5'er is not sold by then]. Thatttt's all folks.

Re: Good morning daily
Morning all,
Not much to report so far.
Spent yesterday trimming the driveway trees so we can get Girt out without scraping her sides.
Amazing how much you don’t look at when it’s not an immediate problem. Been quite a while since Girt was taken out for a spin.
Had two people come for a look, but so far no sale.

One thing I’ve noticed: many people don’t bother reading stuff I sent them.
When people ask for more photos of Girt I also send a page listing mileage, fuel economy, all the extras included in the sale & all the stuff we’ve added or upgraded.
A day or two after sending the stuff I receive phone calls asking engine size (second item listed), fuel economy (third item), “How many kms on it?” (fourth item), or “Are the sun screens included?” (says ‘included’ in the list.)

Re: Good morning daily
Spent yesterday repairing the trailer tailgate hinges, it should have been an hr at most but ........
Today rhe plan was to replace the rusty floor ..... 6 hrs later, I finally got the floor out and the rails cleaned up and painted with phosphoric acid .... the edges looked a little rusty, the the floor was well and truly welded in there and had no intention of giving up without a fight
Ended up using the overhead crane to life the trailer up by the piece I was trying to remove and cutting all the welds I could find ... that got a little exciting at times
Margaret had the tread-plate floor cut to size on Friday, maybe it'll get welded back in by Tuesday so she can drive to Adelaide and pick up the solar panels for this truck job.
Gotta get it finished by next Sunday, Monday the cataract surgery on the right eye plus what ever other stuff he plans to do at the same time, Tuesday back for the patch removal and check up, but I'm not allowed to do any serious work for at least a week ..... so I'll have to be the workshop foreman ..... I'm sure that will go well

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning.
Start of another week
for some in my last "job" it was the end of the week
I have a new front driver side headlight installed in the motorhome.
Looked like a simple job only three nuts and cable plug
looks are deceiving, they put other stuff in the way of a easy job, now have some bark off my left arm...but it'd done.
That was just about it for Sunday.
Keep dry.
Bernie.
