Protect Gas Bottles for rego

Post by wayneP »

DSC_1374.jpg
Was toldI had to protect the gas bottles from attack, roll over, forward or back end or side on crashes. So here is the new divider wall, in a bin that is totally sealed from the battery bin and both are now cleaned up a bit.(Funny what a bit of paint and carpet can do!)

Hardly going to worry you if the vehicle coming the other way gets as far as the gas bottles on the front of the caravan.

The same could be said about the same vehicle getting as far as my gas bottles half way down my 30 foot MH Steve  . The fact is the Caravan's bottles are exposed and open to the elements. Saying that, I don't know what protection they think the bottles are going to have by simply putting them in a stowage :? .

My two niners are comprehensively protected from side impact by a 1/2 inch thick fibreglass-and-foam sandwich door!
Same position as yours, Craig, half-way down a 25-footer, in an under-floor bin.

I've decided to travel a couple of kph faster so that the person who would have hit me fair in the gas bottles will now hit a little further back!
