Electrician looses license

From time to time some question what penalties can apply from faulty /non compling electrcal work

Here is an indication

NSW Fair Trading Commissioner Rod Stowe said Mr Zisoglou’s work was so substandard that he caused a gas pipe to become electrified, resulting in his first year apprentice receiving a substantial electric shock[end quote]

Further advice is the apprentice needs near full time care
So civil charges are no doubt also pending

Peter,

Mongrel deserves all he got, should have been goal. I can't believe some of the replies I have got back from so called tradesmen, mainly in the LPG side of things. Fair dinkum we really need forums for people to ask second opinions from what they have been told for everyone's safety. Kind of scary, no it is scary just what some of these licensed tradesmen actually do and pass the job on as safe. You really are at the mercy.

Many would be surprised at just how many licensed & "qualified "electricians have licences temporarily suspended ,* heavy fines, imposed for faulty, not complying to Standards , & often outright dangerous work.
It's Not just a problem in elect trade but such actions are also imposed in the gas trade as well
Both are potentially deadly fields
It does seem to attract a lot of pretenders
Amateurs & shonks should not be tolerated
Another area that would surprise many is the number who ""claim "to be qualified /licensed & get caught [End up with HEAVY fines]
