Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

"tanks" here---
All is going well over in the West.
The temp went to mid 30's yesterday and is reported on the radio and in the newspaper as a heat wave.
It is Tuesday today, and that means that I can look forward to having Wednesday, tomorrow.
Have a good trip Bernie & Carol.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

The "voice" would have put those ideas in writing by the parliamentary Hansard, that can never be removed or altered. What we still have is a system that can pretend they never heard it or it was "not practical" in their view, or even if it gets up with that govt in office, it gets thrown out by the opposition once it gets into the top job .....

As for the world going crazy, I blame social media and ai driven search engines that look for something just a bit more "crazy" than the last site you visited ... when these "crazies" say, "do your own research" you need to very careful how you word the search to make it completely neutral, otherwise it will head off in the direction it believes you want to go ....
As an example, a simple search for an item to buy and how much it will cost .... "what price for xyz" will return a completely different search result "to where to buy xyz"

T1 Terry
Terry, the voice if constituted would say it may give advice to the executive government, Hansard records the words and events within the house chambers, two different things. For ideas to be in Hansard they would have to be presented in one or both houses of parliament and we already know many things presented to the government executive never reach the houses or the public.

The biggest problem with the voice is the same problem remote and rural communities have always faced, bureaucracy and that wouldn't change. The next problem is the supposed makeup of the voice, which would consist of mostly academic bureaucrats as just about every consulting, land council and advisory boards is comprised of today. The same problems you describe with the current systems wouldn't change, there is nothing to stop a government from ignoring the advice, burying it or implementing it in their way rather than the way it would work for the communities.

Then there's the fact every remote communities problems are different to others and each requires an approach to their situation which suits their circumstances. We already know directly from many communities in their own words, that they have never been consulted, nor has anyone from the voice come to see them, in fact most have never heard of the Uluru statement from the heart and never had anyone talk to them about their problems. All they get is people turning up with prefab tin sheds for homes which are just pure junk, yet the contractors get heaps of money and the bureaucrats and politicians claim they've solved the problem.

The only way to fix those problems is to sit down with the actual people effected and ask them for their ideas and when it comes to housing, the way to make them feel like they have a home and a decent working community is to give them the responsibility for their community themselves. That means training them to design and build their homes and community in line with cultural norms, building their homes and buildings out of the land they live on. It's easy to trash a tin shed some drop kick dumped on their land and said live in that. But if they have a real say in design and building their homes out of the earth they live on and as they regard themselves as being part of that earth, they won't trash it but revere it.

Then we have to educate them into taking the best aspects of their culture and the best aspects of modern western culture and dump the worst aspects of both cultures, then they have a chance of achieving the goal of living their culture in this modern world. As it is they are educated into being addicted to the worst aspects of both cultures and just can't cope with that debilitating regime. Sadly no one seems to understand that the only way to get good results for others is to provide them with an example they can look to and the examples provided in western cultures is the opposite to what is needed and applied.

I learnt that lesson long ago and live on my cultural land and have taken the best of western culture and the best of my indigenous heritage, dumping the body and soul destroying aspects of both societies. Hence I drink alcohol once or twice a year if that, rarely eat any animals products, produce a large amount of my own foods, never eat processed or preservative foods and have turned my once sand quarry property back into a haven for wildlife and some rescued domesticated animals. If I do eat any animal products, it's always native foods, but would prefer not to and only do it when with cultural people. I'm 78, very healthy and fit, run every day with my dogs at least 1klm and most days 2-3, lift weights eat only twice a day within a set 6 hour period, take no medication and watch as all my peers die and suffer the last few years of their life in agony drugged to the eyeballs with drugs that only mask the symptoms and never remove the causes of ill health. Whilst I'm raring to go and see life as just starting because have no family responsibilities, freedom of movement, music and a very deep interest in seeing what the future holds for earth. Luckily the indigenous I associate with respect my approach and don't offer animals foods to me, unless for purely cultural reasons.

Terry I agree with you regarding social media, such a bizarre thing society has turned into being essential for life, when the opposite is true. This is the only social media site I'm on, except for a biofuels site been a member of for 20 years and rarely go there now and if you knew my name, you wouldn't find it on the net anywhere as every thing I do on line is via pseudonyms. I use the net for gathering information and have an interest in that will help me in life and the keep in touch with what's happening around the planet.

As for the world going crazy, when you add all the stress being forced upon people and especially the young with the future they have to cope with, it's no wonder many are cracking and that's seen in the massive growth in metal illness. All we have to do is add up all the relevant facts we see worldwide to get the answer as to whether world societies are collapsing, when you look at history, every society that has reached what it believed was the top of it's development according to the times, suddenly collapsed over a few short years and it appears our societies have reached that point awhile ago and we are collapsing because our societies revolve around illusionary concepts, not in accordance with the reality of the world today and ahead. Whether that will bring us all down, have no idea hopefully not, but only the unfolding future will tell us that.

Good morning 8 deg outside 0100 hrs. Just about to sign off when got a text from Comm Bank asking if I had used my card tonight? I replied NO then I was asked to ring the help line, got through to a nice lady whom asked me some secret Q's then she put me through to the fraud dept, more repeats of Q's and the man said they had blocked my card and will issue me with a new one within a week. After that was done I went to get my card to check the dates etc and bugger me it is not there. I can't remember when I used it last? Mongrels out there. Anyway off to say goodnight now. Have a great day peeps

Good morning.
We are in the little village of Dululu.
Arrived around 1.30pm....to 37dgs.... bloody a bit warm and windy. So instead of taking a unpowered site...we opted for the $10 donation power. Aircon got a good workout 😁.
We will leave a bit early this morning than yesterday.
I hope 🤔. keep cool.

2.178lt at Caltex in Biloela Bruce. Plus 4c off with RACQ card.
Bernie.

Good morning all.

Bernie, there are 2 or 3 unmanned truck servos about 5 kms north of Emerald on the road to Clermont where you will get the best price. Filled up there on our trip a couple of months ago.
Cheers

Good morning everyone. Its another nice sunny day here, but the man says its going to be windy again.
Does anyone know why the price of fuel varies so much?
Petrol varies from 1.80 to 2.37 within 5 km from here.
Diesel is 2.09 to 2.35, I don't see how they can justify the variation.
Enjoy your trip Bernie.
We are going for a day trip to the country today, because we can.
Happy hump day everybody, safe travels.
What have you been up to Leslie? You have been pretty quiet lately.
Cheers
