Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning everyone. I'm back in Mulwala now. Done a few miles in the past few days. I had a great time with the gkids, which is all I wanted to do. When I went fishing with the 11yo it was a bit of an eye opener for me. That poor little bugger has an absentee dad and has only had the opportunity to do boy stuff when he comes to Qld. Down here he just plays sport. The young under up Kyenton way, he's a bit of a wild man. I reckon he'll be operating an excavator before he's much older.
We are packing up to head home, leaving tomorrow. We might go through Sydney on the way home. It is so easy now, dual lanes all the way from Albury and not many traffic lights.
Safe travels everybody, happy hump day.
Cheers
David

I was driving a harvester when I was 12, the yr after my dad died. Uncle had a wheat property outside Gunnedah (Emerald hill, big enough to have its own spot on the map, Google says it's a small town, but that is actually the homestead) and they knew nothing about working such a big property and the harvesting contractors hadn't been organised, so I was helping getting the tractors and harvesters going and then driving them .... I just didn't weigh enough to push in the clutch pedal, so one of the uncles would get me rolling and away I went for the day

I done the 240v power in the motorhome...we now have outside power. Must do the same with the 12v...one day.
Didn't do anything else because of the heat...37* yesterday...so tools down.
Safe trip home David.

Good morning everyone. It looks like a fine sunny day here. We will be heading off after brekky. Making Terrie's mum her favourite corn fritters before we leave.
Hopefully we'll get a good run home without too much holiday traffic.
Safe travels everybody. Get well soon, all those that are a bit crook.
Cheers

Good morning everyone. We are in a rest area just near Pt Macquarie. Lobbed here around 9.30 last night. There is an odd assortment of vehicles here, one caravan, 4 cars with tent toppers and one 4x4 with a tent topper on his tradie trailer. Oh, and one motorhome. We have had a pretty good run so far, hope to be home early this arvo.
Looks like we might get a bit of a storm to welcome us home.
Are you getting any rain up your way Bernie?
Safe travels everybody, have a top day.
Cheers

Haven't been told what I'm allowed to do today yet :D Plus Carol still fighting with a chest cold, Tests say no Covid...

Good morning everyone, from the beautiful Gold Coast. We arrived home just on lunchtime yesty.
Had a pretty good run with the Christmas traffic, until we hit the border. Then it was hurry up and wait, for the next 30 km's or so, through the seemingly constant roadworks.
We have had a total of 30mm of rain while we were away so the garden is still alive, so that's a big plus. Unfortunately the fridge has failed to proceed while we were away so we headed back into the Christmas traffic and went fridge shopping. Found something that will fit the hole, hopefully it will arrive on Sunday.
Bernie, take good care of Carol, some of the oldies down south have been getting a chest infection that turns real nasty and requires a stay in hospital.
Safe travels everybody, have a top day.
Cheers

Morning all.
I tipped 34mm out of the gauge yesterday morning...It was fine for the rest of the day...BUT>>> it poured down last night for a bit. And we received another 12mm, sun just up and clear sky.
I went to our second annual drinkies yesterday about 4ish, just the four of us...it's a bloke thing :D :D I only had two beers...I think most of the worlds problems were solved

Carol still fighting this chest cold...don't seem to be able to shake it.

My Bursitis has raised its head again...to much on Thursday I think, we did have a abnormal BIG shop. More than a dozen of those Aldies bags full. Plus carton of Coke, Beer and Lemon lime and bitters..."Carols". ;)
It took a bit to get on this morning that crappy thing arose  .
You should be home Dave ??
Keep safe.
Bernie.
Morning Dave.
