Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

........ & in SA Bernie!!
When I was a kid I suffered very badly with hives.
Hot weather & sugar will do it.
I replaced all sugar with Glucodin & never suffered again. I grew out of the problem later in my teens.

Had to look up when Easter is this yr, the news has had bits about the long week end coming up and the Easter ads are in full swing, has to check it wasn't this week end  I guess if it's good enough for Vic to have a holiday for a horse race, then SA isn't that far "out there" having the Adelaide Cup public holiday

Anyway, the plan is to take our shake down trip this coming week end to Mt Gambier and check out a solar problem for customer while we are there .... well, probably more the other way around, but it feels more "retired" to say it's a shake down trip with a customer visit because we will be in the area ;)

Then it's full on prep for Taggerty '24 and our extended trip after it ... Margaret's is a bit more extended than mine, she flies out to Germany from Sydney to attend her daughter's wedding (strange set up over there, everyone gets married at a registry office, then have a "traditional" type wedding afterwards ..... in this case roughly 3 mths after ... maybe a test run to see if it's worth spending all that money

Margaret flies back into Melbourne early July and if she's lucky, I will have travelled down that way and can pick her up and continue our motorhome trip back to Mannum .... and all the jobs that have been pushed back till we return ... for joy, for joy, so looking forward to getting back from a holiday to start working again

What's this doing paid work all about David, I thought you were over that

Wasn't really on my bucket list T1, but I needed to do some paid work to minimise a tax liability. Having said that, it's not too bad. Early starts aren't much fun though.
Cheers

Good morning everyone.
Nothing happened on the home front yesterday, just some weeding (poison) :D
Carol spent all day inside with the aircon, only got to 30 yesterday but the cool was better for her.
Looks like this mornings walk maybe canceled. Its raining here at the mo. Haven't looked at the BoM... Just did lots of scuds coming our way. We had one cloud bust yesterday...no rain just hail...for all of about 30 seconds. strange :?
That's about it for now.
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Well, change of plans. The solar isn't even close to keeping up with the rooftop rattler air con and the weather reports say we will see the temps well into the 40's for the next week or so. I could put the generator back in, but I have no intentions of climbing on an RV roof in those sort of temps and the sun trying to burn the flesh off me ... so, put it off till next week.

Did a trip into Murray Bridge to get a chip in the windscreen repaired ... they did a top job, hardly know it was ever there.

Unfortunately, in the mad rush to get me out the driveway, the left hand under side and the rock retaining wall tried to take up the same space resulting in bent bin door corners and them twisted backwards enough that the lock catches no long match up with the metal tabs when the bin doors are closed ... so they don't hold closed at the moment ..... then, driving back up the driveway, battled the Lawsons Conifer between our driveway and next door and added a heap of scratches ... that I hope will polish out.

Around 350mm long, so not a recent hatchling, but just as deadly as the adults.
Hope it wasn't the cat that brought it home

I think we may have found our baby brown snake killer .. or killers. There were a pair of crows fighting over what first appeared to be a stick, then it became two sticks, one shorter than the other .... more fighting over the shorter bit, then crow one kept cautiously approaching one end of the stick and dragging it backwards, jumping away and watching it for a while, then the process was repeated. Crow two picked up its piece of stick and it hung down either side of the beak, and it flew away .... crow one then picked up his much bigger piece of stick and had quite a battle getting it airborne, had to get a lot of height to get the drooped ends over the shrubs, but he finally mastered it and disappeared amongst the trees across the road.

I regularly feed the crows with the remains of the roast chickens the dog rejects, both out the front edge of the garden, and up on the next level out the back. I'm thinking it's keeping them scanning the area for anything edible ... seems snakes are part of the menu .... surprisingly, so are over ripe oranges

When ever a snake trespasses onto my land it gets a chop chop and it then is feed for the Kookas.
