Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Morning all!
Currently 8* in ‘Sunny Rutherglen’… and I’m sitting in my bay window with the sun streaming in. Warm and comfortable. 😀
A bit of a busy day yesterday.
Pastor visited mid-morning to see how I’m coming along.
Then a friend from church popped in for the same reason.
While they were here the Occ Therapist from the local health service arrived to check that the house is safe and I have grab-rails in the appropriate places.
And before they completed their survey Newcastle George dropped in for a cuppa and chat. Good to see him and catch up with all the gossip from Taggerty. 😄
… Then the electrician arrived to fix the light over the dining table. It had Failed to Proceed, although the fan part worked flawlessly all summer.
So I had a rolling population of 3~4 people in the house for most of the day.
After George left and the house was empty, I collapsed on the bed and didn’t wake up until SWMBO called me to dinner.
Today will be a much quieter day — I hope.
The only entry in the diary is the District Nurse coming at 1100 to change my bandages. 😅
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Good morning everyone, its a lovely blue sky morning here in Mulwala. Not quite as cool overnight as it has been for the past few days. :D
I hope your neighbour recovers completely, Bernie.
We'll be off for our morning walk shortly. We might see some swans if lucky.
Most of my Taggerty pics are ordinary, hopefully Alan and Robyn or someone can put up a couple of decent ones.
Safe travels everyone. Enjoy your morning walk, if you're having one.

Edit. I wondered where George had finished up, after I had seen him in Benalla.

Good afternoon, played bowls today in the Consistency, first to 150 wins, managed to get a great start reached 100 with a good lead, let Julia score a 9, soon she had caught up to me, we were neck to neck & I let her score another 9, last end was 142- 148, we scored 5 each, final score was 147-153, would of been good to win but really happy with how I played & enjoyed the game.
We only had a couple of spots of rain, the sky looked threatening, still full of grey clouds tonight maybe more rain.

Good to read your post Ray, glad you enjoyed all your visitors, sounds like you deserved to have a sleep, hope your health continues to improve.

Pleased to hear everyone enjoyed the weekend & had good weather at Jon’s plot, sounds like the men need to start planning for next years cook off.

Good morning everyone. Its a cool overcast morning here, but the man says no rain today. Did some more washing and yard work here. The old MiL is pretty happy with how it looks. Now all I need to do is burn or bin the trimmings. Plenty of smoke about as the broadacre farmers are all doing stubble burns at the mo'. Still haven't been fishn'.
Not much else to report.
Safe travels everybody.

Edit, the lens on my phone was pretty dirty Bernie. You should see the pics I deleted because it all looked foggy.
Cheers

We made it as far as donation camp site at Toolangi Reserve. Lovely spot, toilets, free electric BBQ if you need, undercover tables and benches, rules about only having fires in the fire pits they have built .... very tall trees so solar was non existent. Spent two days there and would have stayed longer, but the 260Ah battery had supplied 235Ah by this morning, so we decided to travel a bit more.
Went to King Lake and invested in an oil company by filling the fuel tank, ended up chatting for a few hrs to a CFS volunteer who wandered over and asked us what we thought of our gypsy trailer .... I kept it clean  but explained all the horrors we'd had and the last minute mods we did Friday afternoon before heading off to Taggerty. I doubt there was a topic he didn't cover, but by the time we got away the sun was already sneaking over the hill.
We ended up in Whittlesea show grounds for the night, plugged into power to recharge the battery, might stay another night yet, starting to get a feel for only travelling short distances and stopping for a few days 8-)

Gotta set up the little gas stove outside on the wooden battery boxes I threw all the gear in before we left, might see if we can find a table tomorrow ..... Not allowed to cook the steaks inside, too much fat splatter and smoke apparently ;)

It's her birthday today, I'm not allowed to argue with any thought or notion she might put forward on her birthday

I spent all that time and effort to put the induction stove in ... it gets used to put the gas can stove on .... but that might be because I haven't wired it up yet
