Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning All. Below is a description of my trip haome from Taggerty.

After leaving Taggerty on Monday I drove to Rutherglen where I visited Ray and Joy and spent an hour or two before heading for Jugiong, expecting to get ther around 8:30pm.
Approx 20km from Jugiong I pressed the floor dipswitch only to find myself driving in the dark. Couldn't get the driving lights working again so pulled off to the side of the highway, luckily it was just wide enough to be clear of traffic and my parkers were still working.

With difficulty and a torch I checked all the fuses and found them ok. In order to get to the dipswitch I had to remove the drivers seat to find the switch had failed. At this point, stupid me, realised that I could turn on the interior lights to see what I was doing and was able to twist the wires together to give me low beam and return to the highway to arrive at Jugiong showgroung at approx 1030pm.

I departed the showgroung on Wednesday morning and headed for the service station a km or two up the road as the fuel guage was showing almost empty and a refill would get me home. Unfortunately, they had no diesel, so I started to worry that I would run out prior to getting to the next servo but headed off nd reached a servo at Yass with the guage showing below empty. I required 185 litres to fill up the 200L tank, phew.

I reached Wollongong at son Guy's place with fan belt squealing and we started ringing around trying to find a belt or two without success and as I have a hospital appointment for this Tuesday and couldn't drive home without the risk of engine failure, the bus is now sitting outside Guy's workshop and Guy drove me home, some 260km, prior to turning around to drive home.

There is a bit more to the story but that will do.

That was an interesting trip George. Did you join the Terry club? Speaking of the lad where is he and what has been his latest incident? We got home yesterday but stayed in the bus last night. Brian gave me somechocolates for mothers day and the birds sang me a song.

Tanks, its funny you mention MoW. The olds have been on it here, since the MiL got crook over summer. We took 'em out to Corowa for lunch and sort the parking permit thingo out. They are hooking into some as I type this. The only other thing in their fridge now is fruit and ice cream.
We might go down the footy and watch T's eldest grandson play. He goes alright.
Safe travels all those out and about.
Sunday, and I have returned to Wyalkatchem from the *sh**ty" City. I keep some food things in the fridge/freezer for weekend meals. I still enjoy cooking and I only receive M o W on Monday to Friday.
One MUST maintain one's independence so to speak, and a tour of the kitchen every weekend satisfies that need.
The fruit and ice cream in the fridge is a must in my place, and the chest freezer is well stocked with Bulla Vanilla & Boysenberry which I stocked up on when the special $4.50 for a 2-litre tub was available.
I refuse to pay $1.35 each for a banana so the fruit bowl looks a little bare so I have to rely on a can of sliced peaches .Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Good afternoon, we’ve had very, very light showers on & off all day the sky is clear out over the lake at present.
I went to Charlestown shopping centre this morning with my number 2 g’son, we owed him a present, came home with a new hoodie from Stashhouse he was happy.
The other half of the family except Whitney are up at Airlie Beach for 10 days, staying on the mainland went to Hamilton Island today, so it’s been a quite Mothers’ Day.

Enjoy your Boysenberry ice cream Keith, Bananas have been $4.50 kg here & tomatoes have been $8 - $9 kg, Broccoli has dropped to an affordable price $3.50 kg, my son is working in WA living at Cottesloe, office in the city, flys out to the mine.

George sounds like you had an eventful trip home, hopefully you can source the fan belts & collect the bus after you get a good report on Tuesday 🤞 I thought the same as Dot George is doing a Terry 😂😂 not a laughing matter, good luck with both.

Good morning, 16c lots of grey clouds still around, 2mm rain & 21c predicted, sun has just broken thru brilliantly, looks like an ok day.

We are off to the eye specialist this morning, Bruce is due for his 3rd eye injection for the wet macular degeneration, the eye has slowly improved, hopefully it will continue improving.

Might mow our lawn when we come home with all the rain, it needs a chop.

Worried re Bruce’s eye injection today, he’s had terrible pain & burning in the eye, been laying down since about 3pm, I’ve put lubricant drops in the eye a couple of times, the specialist gave us same, anyone else having eye injections experienced this outcome after the injection?

That must be so painful for Bruce, I would ring the specialist Shirley or even the hosp for advice. Hope it stops "burning" soon.
