Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning everyone

I feel for you Bernie, but I instantly thought of the joke where little Johnny had to make a sentence using the word contagious
I started shoveling soil... now I can only get the ute as close as 30/40 feet from the garden 🤬 so after umteam barrow loads I finally finished just on 4pm...

Top looking day outside, just need to clear this headache so we can go to Mt Barker and buy a compressor, Sparky Dave's orders I'm telling Margaret ;)
My bucket of Sulfamic acid flakes https://shop.hdchemicals.co.uk/blogs/ne ... carelessly. arrived yesterday, so I can buy a big plastic tub and start cycling the hand tools I managed to rescue from each fire through a bath of it to descale and de rust them before giving them a coat of paint.

Eddy, I just finished rolling around on floor. Used to be one of my favourite jokes.

Terry, have you tried molasses to remove the rust and scale? You need a compressor to do a leak down test, so blame Jon as well. But seriously, you need a compressor to do any mechanical work correctly, as you well know.
Cheers

Don't blame me.... blame Nigel.

He's looking at a new business opportunity, Exporting Ford V10's. Has a glut of stock. All reconditioned and ready to go. Just needs an interest buyer.

Yeah, but I needed someone else to say I needed one so I was allowed to buy one
Went to Total Tools to see what was available to pump the volume of air required for a rattle gun and minor spray painting ...... $1200 plus ...... so we didn't buy one of those, paid half that much for a 10hp 170cfm unit from the local equipment at the right price store .... Paramount Brown for those in the Adelaide area, but every city has their bargain equipment store ;) 8-) Bought two different sized plastic containers as well, so I'll try this acid stuff first because I've already got it, if that doesn't work, the long soak in molasses and try that .... then phosphoric acid as a last resort .... I know that will work, it's just rough on the lungs and hands when working with it .....

Most of the day is gone now, so work will resume tomorrow .... if this headache buggers off .....

Is this his business Jon? https://www.sageparts.com/wp-content/up ... -Valve.pdf Sounds about right, Nigel would be considered a Sage wouldn't he? https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dicti ... e_vignette

Finally.... remember how I was seeking a refund from the financial advisor for their advice.

Well, after a few emails they have finally agreed. Seems a bit crazy. It was a low cost service for some simple things which they got completely wrong. But, they must have invested hours and hours going back and forth discussing it with higher management. seessh... talk about a false economy.
