Good morning everyone. Its a bright sunny day on the Gold Coast today.
We have just dropped Cyclone Jack and his parents at the airport. They are heading home. We will head home shortly and begin a bit of a cleanup. We had a water bomb fight last night. Haven't had that much fun for ages.
Safe travels everybody.
Good morning daily

Re: Good morning daily
Certainly cooler here today, the wind has settled down and it's overcast.
Finally got the Vetrix electric motor scooter https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vectrix off the back of the truck, no I can unload the Lexus and head over to the house (remains) and drag the steel bench and my "was brand new" toolbox onto the truck and bring them up to the yard.
All in preparation for ..... Dudadadadar ..... NRMA has finally agreed to demolish the house remains, yet to negotiate with them to retain the pavers, but something to hassle about in the near future ..... so, after 9 mths I think it is, things are finally moving regarding the house remains .....

Re: Good morning daily
Good afternoon, Jon was correct we copped it last night, wind, wind & more wind, heavy rain on & off, woke up to overcast weather, we were starting the first round of our 4s today at bowls, arrived not collecting fees, waiting , we didn’t have to wait long & down came the rain, spent a couple of hours chatting & catching up with the girls, rescheduled to start next Tuesday.
Still raining & doesn’t look like stopping any time soon.

Good morning everyone...sorta...
We got hit yesterday by one of those micro bursts
Just a handful of minutes and lots of people having damage of some kind... those gazebos don't handle high winds.branchs down throughout the CP.
I coped some damage...broke the top sliding arm on the Annex (tied up with 100 mile tape.at the moment.)
Plus a rip in the awning...so will ring the insurance company today...
We went back to Bundy yesterday.. apparently Carol needed new shoes
We didn't get to go swimming... perhaps today.
Clear skies as of now...but... this weather keeps doing what it wants.. Daughter is going snorkeling on the Reef today at lady Elliott island.
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Re: Good morning daily
Fabulous surf yesterday, but really tired me out, especially having to battle the rather large waves when making a mistake and getting dumped. To sore to go today, so have started on the side car as the bus is finally cleaned out and just have to get a few good days to mask and paint it, still haven't decided on colour yet. Took the bus for a drive yesterday arvo to test everything and it went like a dream, almost decided to keep it but it's just to large for just me and the dogs, so will reluctantly sell it and get a smaller one. There's a few in Tas for sale, but not in a hurry as like taking the cruiser on trips, especially now it carries 310lt of veggie oil and 30lts of diesel. That means I can get over 3000klms without refuelling so can afford to stay in cabins and rental homes, the upgraded turbo and 3 inch exhaust has made a real difference to it's performance, as has the intercooler. Next is an upgraded gearbox, which changes 2nd and 5th gear, so will get even better range as it will drop the revs by 200-300 revs in top gear. Decide to do that after having a drive in a cruiser which had the upgraded gears and was surprised that it didn't struggle in hills, but just cruised along.
No rain for the last 2 days, nice mild weather around 20deg and down to around 12deg over night. Hope it's a nice day for everyone.

Re: Good morning daily
Fairly hot outside today, but have to get the stuff sorted and collected from the house before the demolition mob start their operations. Spent all day yesterday getting the car off the truck, using the winch to pull out a couple of those yell bell shaped flower trees that just spring up every where and grow incredibly fast, shifted the Merc to give me more room to get the second lot of weed trees out and drag the 310ltr water capacity LPG tank out from where it was up near the back fence. I'll have to organise to get that down to Lansdale for reinspection and certification.
The two awnings arrived this morning, by the time I got my shoes on, the courier had already unloaded them
That will be a job for no wind and not too hot days ...... hopefully before Taggerty

Good arvo, another slack day, too warm outside for me, looking at the huge amount of mulch that was delivered yesterday will leave it to cook a bit longer before putting it around. take care one and all x

Re: Good morning daily
Good afternoon, 17.6c we have 5 weather warnings in place, wicked weather, wind & rain all day & more forecast tomorrow, suppose to ease Sunday, the lake is really high lapping under the jetty.
We went to Newcastle this morning, several trees down with the wind, friend who lives at Port Stephens told us that they’ve had no power since Wednesday.
our power keeps dropping out & coming back on almost instantly.
