Re: Good morning daily
Ovens and myself do not have any communication at all. None of them will do their job so I avoid them all. The bus oven (gas) is crap takes around 45mins to do scones and have to turn the rack around to get the front browned., Same with the house oven can't get it hot enough and also have to spin racks. (electric) Use the convection oven in the bus and that is much better. Oh yeah the grill in the bus is also crap, it is too low down from the flame, have to put a pan under to get the bread close enough to cook. Give me gas appliances any day, someone said the gas appliance holes are too small in the bus compared to a domestic ones ?????

Re: Good morning daily
No, my dad and his family were from Kent ..... but I didn't want you to go to any trouble trying to find any of them, just one of those things that might flow around to in a pub conversation type of thing ..... found out more about my family than I'd ever been told having a beer in a Lithgow pub, they were a lot better known there than I ever realisedsupersparky wrote: ↑Sat Jun 07, 2025 3:56 pm Good morning everyone. We are now in York. Left London around 9am and headed off to Oxford. Did a museum tour then wandered about the village that surrounds the halls of learning. Couldn't get into the church, there was a wedding on. Two old London buses were the wedding cars.
We then hit the highway and made our way up to York in Friday arvo traffic. Today we will checkout the Walled City and hopefully the rail museum.
T1, I think you asked me about your rellos in York. There is no longer anything like a phone book apparently, but the hotel receptionist thought maybe the electoral rolls may help.
Safe travels everbody, have a top day. Dunno where will finish up tonight yet.

Good morning everyone.
Not much to report as I've done most of yesterday in the new project thread

I don't think I will be doing much today... might have the day off
..or I may start sanding the first bench down..or I may get to wash the motorhome today... maybe...
And as everyone knows... it's bacon and eggs day in down town Degilbo

.
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning everyone. It's still Saturday night in Edinburgh Scotland. We're in a low end pub tonight, but that's how it rolls sometimes.
Sorry T1, I thought is was York. Not going anywhere near Kent. I had planned to take a pic from the area phone book, but apparently they no longer exist.
We went to the National Rail museum today. I could have spent hours or more there but had to move on. Saw some great steam locomotives and a really nice model layout. Have heaps of pics.
We drove through some really heavy rain today on our road less travelled trip. Our driver knew the road really well, it wasn't much wider than the bus a lot of the time. We visited a little known part of Hadrians Wall and the stopped at ghe Scottish border for some more happy snaps.
Take care everbody. Safe travels all those out and about.

Re: Good morning daily
I love Edinburgh. Spent 7 weeks there for work. Had the best time. And a week there about 6 years earlier.
Morning all. Lots of rain last night and yesterday.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning 13c westerly wind whipping up waves across the lake, brilliant sunshine, warm sitting inside the glass, maximum 17c predicted today, no rain for us, winter has arrived.
We have had a family of black swans in our bay for the last couple of weeks, they appear to have become permanent residents, better than the ducks that crap all over our lawn.

Good morning everyone. Bright sunny morning here in Edinburgh.
We haven't seen any swans on our trip yet. Don't know what today will bring, yet.
Safe travels everybody.

Re: Good morning daily
Thanks Ray, that would explain why we haven't seen any.

But we have seen seagulls, ravens, crows, a pelican, numerous varieties of ducks and even a pigeon with a blue head.
We've also seen a couple of deer, a fox, a hare, even some young rabbits this morning but no swans. Not even a white one.
