Good evening everyone. We are now in Dublin, and our trip is coming to an end. This morning we visited the Cliffs of Moher. Google it, stunning scenery. My crappy pics can't justify how stunning it is. We then visited a memorial to all the Irish that perished in the potato famine of the 1850's. Very sobering.
Anyway, now in Dublin, We saw a rally of Supercars on the motorway into town. Ferraris, Lamborghini's, Porches and BMW'S plus heaps of others. Something called the Bumblebee 1000 I think. Massive following in the roadhouse we stopped at.
Went into the Temple Bar and checked it all out. No dancing tonight.
I see it is past good morning time in Aust, but here it's just after 22.30 Ray time. And if the apostrophes aren't correct, auto correct did it.
I hope the medical people can get you son sorted out Bernie.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Have fun at your sisters B/day Deborah and enjoy your paperwork that has to be done. A shame your van will be taking so long to get fixed. Today I worked my fat butt 1/2 off, 3 loads of washing, re tidied my garden tools after G cleaned and sharpened them. Managed to get G to agree to get rid of some of his "bits of wood" so I can have more space
Then I took off 7 fly screens washed and squirted the soap off then got stuck into the windows and this was done in the rain showers. Just another 9 to go.Rang our usual carpet cleaner and told him when the painters have finished he can come and do the carpets and all the tiled areas. Boy have I gone mad with the cheque book lately, and then I just may attack the window treatments, no material curtains that have to be washed and IRONED.David have loved your pics and will look up Cliffs of Moher later this evening. Might try to get to prune the fruit trees as all the foliage is off and I would like to have it done before we hope to nick off Nth Our friends in Mt Isa said the night temp was ZERO and we thought it may of been warmer than here but Oh no bbrrrr. Hope all the sickies are improving. Goodnight everyone x

Dot, ironing curtains? I have been taught to hang them back on the windows straight from the washer. The weight pulls them into place and they don't look bad. I can't think of doing anything else. Might be worth a try for you too. That's a summer job, by the way! xxxx
Today I tried to change the password for f**kbook, after reading that there had been yet another security breech. Passwords are apparently on the dark web etc. I got as far as the bit where it demands the numbers that it sent to my emails...no such numbers or emails appeared. I gave up and called in my tech guru. It took him an hour to get it right, so I didn't feel too bad, about ringing in the cavalry. We have a crystals mate who had her f**kbook attacked and lost all of her contacts and things were sent to all of her customers with some really weird stuff. As my business is included in my account, I think the password thing was important to know and totally change it to keep us protected. I will sleep better tonight.
The bags have been packed and boy, we realised just how much stuff is in permanent residence in the van. It took most of the day to be sure that we have all that's needed. I had left the birthday card in the van, so had to find another one today. That wasn't too difficult, so the card has been sorted and some bubbly will be bought tomorrow and we will be set.
Stay warm out there,
night all xxx

Daughter gave me her birthday card with a very nice looking green box .... she inherited my weird punning humour, so I was expecting something out of the norm ... and that it was ..... the box had 7 types of Early Tea and the card said "Welcome to your 7 teas ....dream4red wrote: ↑Tue Jun 17, 2025 12:38 am Dot, ironing curtains? Then I was given my real birthday present, a bottle of Muskat in a fany box from Morris Wineries in Rutherglen .... I was happy just to see my daughter and her man, presents weren't needed, but the fact she went to such length with the punny birthday card brought a tear to the eye ..... getting old isn't all bad it seems

Deborah the net curtains are done that way wash n hang em but the very slippery light ones it didn't work so thinking of those daylight blinds, we shall see whats available. Have shutters on the windows as well. Well today was a real beauty, 0 was done apart from sleep, when will I learn? I went like a steam train yesterday and sufferer big time today, I finally saw the light of evening at 4pm. Tomorrow is my usual check up with the oncologist and might get some shopping in as well. Brian was supposed to go back to the vets for his check up but they rang to say they were having some power issues sorted out so he is re booked or Saturday, he seems to be wheezing a bit more considering he is still on meds and his breathe is yuck again ?? bad tooth?? Painters are back Friday to do the study, sun room, kitchen, and dining room so Brian and I will be in the bus again for a couple of nights then a week later the bedroom, ensuite, entry, lounge and formal dining room Be so glad when this is done, Brian doesn't like all this moving about and smells. These days I think you are better off with no tech stuff, bank under the mattress, and no computers, so much crap happening with bugs and mongrels ripping people off esp the oldies. Might have a shower now instead of in the morning
but that might cause a riot as no window treatments are up in either bathroom woo hoo. Take care everyone stay safe and warm. Did any of you see on the news about a truck was led up the garden path by his GPS in the city (SYDNEY) his load was too high for a bridge, power lines too low and he could not turn around so he had to call the transport people for help, he had to back up 30 mts then do some U turn at an intersection to get back onto the highway, then he had to wait for the people to check over the truck before getting on the highway but he had to be off the road in 30 mins. See those GPS things do get you into trouble big time. Maybe he should of had an escort?? OK I am off now so Goodnight everyone x

Dot, the TRUCK GPS, you can set the height, width, and length in the unit to get. You need one for your bus as well as Mr. G's paper mapDot wrote: ↑Wed Jun 18, 2025 1:03 am Deborah the net curtains are done that way wash n hang em but the very slippery light ones it didn't work so thinking of those daylight blinds, we shall see whats available. Dottie,
My mum used to iron curtains… AND bed sheets!
Busy day today, did a whole lot of SFA.
I’m so tired I’ll have to hit the sack early.
So goodnight all.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Today didn't pan out as I had hoped. We got to the Oncologists place ok A lady asked me if I would mind answering some Q's as she was working with my Dr for her studies so off we went and boy did she go over me with a fine toothed comb. Then my Dr came in and she told him this and that and he felt my neck and lumps and bumps plus a look at my sore tongue, reporting all looked ok but to go and get a deep tissue massage (which will hurt) He asked if I was taking any over the counter pills, vitamins etc asked esp about magnesium ? I said no nothing other than what has been prescribed. Asked what was with the Magnesium and he said it is called "the 3 bears med" you know 1/ amount is too small.2/ too much but the 3/is just right. It is very important as this effects your nerves and can cause hell.My GP believes my feet could be neuropathy so off for more specific blood tests and some pain relief patches to try at night. On way home we stopped at the big green shed to check out bathroom bowls and also kitchen benches and by the time we had done that it was past 5pm so a ham and tomato sandwich was for tea. Did some washing and that was our day. Oh I got some old bat get right up my exhaust just leaving home and she tooted and gestured to me to move along I was in the 50k zone and doing 50k so I gave her the right royal gesture, She then saw the upcoming 60k sign and that was the last I saw of her. Crazy woman driver.
Anyway hope everyone is happy and safe. Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, when you get someone behind you that wants to be a boot ornament, the best thing to do is move over and let them be the rabbit that charges of and gets booked. There is no point letting them get on your goat.
Our holiday is almost now. We are at the airport waiting to load into cattle class for out trip to Dubai. Emirates EK164 if anyone follows flight radar. Departs are 2210 local Dublin time.
Second half is Emirates EK0434 departing Dubai around 1035 local Dubai time. We get into Brissy around 6.30am.
We should be home by the time morning peak is over.
We had most of the day to ourselves today. Did a bit of backstreet wandering. It's amazing the different things you see, just a couple of streets back from the main drag. If you eat and drink were the locals do, you get some great stories, and you aren't paying the inflated tourist prices. I'll try to put up a pic shortly. WiFi at airport isn't that flash.
Here's one for you Shirley. Just what you need when you can't sleep. A coffee from the Insomnia Coffee company.
