Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Morning.
I actually prefer wild pig...more flavour than the pig factory's..
Disaster hit yesterday...I dropped my 7.5 inch power saw.
Broke the switch area off 😡🤬...on the phone to neighbours... only one had one...so I borrowed it... unfortunately my blade won't fit his saw... and the one in his saw came over with that Cook bloke 😁..
So out with the insulating tape and I taped the switch ON
and taped up all the sharp edges.
Carol became my off button , we got the job done...
As I said in the project thread off to see if I can get a flexible gas hose.
And it's not GMT Dave...it's UTC...

Good morning everyone. It's raining here this morning, but it should fine up later on. Today might be a work day, we've spent most of the weekend fluffing about and watching footy. Still haven't finished unpacking yet.
Bernie, what the latest with your son? Any progress?
I see GMT is called UTC now. I must have disregarded that memo back in 1972. What's in a name, eh?
Safe travels everybody, have a top day.
Cheers
David

Good morning All.

It was Julie's 60th birthday on Friday and she was given a Birthday Card from Sean, Beth and Arthur. The card was produced by Beth, which totally amazed us. I struggle to draw a straight line. Photos below.

Seems the joys of owning an older motorhome continue. We knew the hot water service was on it's last legs .... but they seem to have given way last night ..... the leak now seems a tad more severe. The pump pulses every few mins and Margaret said she could hear a hissing noise that stopped when I unplugged the hot water heater.
Roughly $1,000 for a replacement .... it better be only coils the engine needs

Terry, I'm gunna assume your Winnie has a Suburban water heater. If that's the case, they are notorious for cracking the JG fitting on the inlet line. It's a 3/8 BSP female to 10mm pipe.
We had the same issue with ours not long after we bought it.
Connecting to town water supply is the major cause of failure, so they say.
Cheers

Thanks Dave, we only run off the pump, so 40psi is the max it ever sees ..... I'll check it out, but I've already ordered the new one on evilbay .....
This one is 25 yrs old and been having issues with corrosion around the thermostat terminals, so I quite expected it to pass on .... just hoped it would wait till we were back in Mannum

Yeah nah, it's dripping out of the insulation above the thermostats cut away, so it has developed from a slight leak to a bigger one

They guess it will arrive by the end of the mth, not looking forward to pulling it out, the amount of timber rotten might be a tad more than I expected .... the area I knew I had problems turned out to not be the water heater but behind the fridge.

I might need to park up some where out of the way, and cut the fibreglass out of the side some distance from each access hole and replace timber as required ..... or put a water heater in it and wait till August when we get back home .....

Kinda know which way that will go  Get the carpenter/cabinet maker next door to do it when we get back home :D
