We found a great way to keep all that space wasting stuff where it belongs. We went into the local Hardly Normal and there it all was, sitting on shelves and benches everywhere you looked and that to me is the idea place for it, so we walked back out, satisfied that task had been completed at a minimal cost

I have a couple of questions especially after looking at the details of your entertainment system.

1. How did you get yourself into such a tangle?

2. Which part of having that system is the entertainment. (watching TV or working it out)

3. Do you have a huge battery capacity or just run a generator.

Nothing about my post is meant to be inflammatory or offensive so pls dont take it that way.

I would love to upgrade my Satellite TV system including the use of a LED TV.

The LED TV is cheap and uses less power compared to the VAST box and satellite system. In fact I can only justify a manually pointed satellite dish as I dont watch much TV and the things are too expensive.

I understand that the VAST boxes will not run of 12 Volt. Maybe through a small built in inverter but still simpler than running 240 to it.

Anything you have to add that may enlighten someone who is keen to learn would be appreciated, especially the area of frequency changes and LNB's which I saw you had mentioned somewhere.

Thanking you

Weeeell.....
You know while I agree with you I think most would agree that when most of us were younger & working all sorts of hours trying to stash away a few $$$$$ we really never had much time to play with toys. In fact back then toys were limited to maybe a transistor radio or even a valve radio!!!
Now days we can raid our 'stash' & buy a multitude of toys to see if our brains can work out how to use them.
Ofcourse we don't REALLY need them do we?
It IS better than sleeping in some creaky old rocking chair in some old folks home being spoonfed by someone!!!
Then there's a few of us that have broken hips, legs or knee operations that confine us to pottering around our rigs so it's a good time to fit that new shiny gadget anyway!!!
Most of these gadgets nowdays run on just a sniff of electricity you know? I heard someone say T1 has his partner using 'pedal power' even......... (joking!)
 :D

Welcome to the happy place & no, ........ no offence intended either!!!
;) ;)
