Apparently it's standard practice for all places that have electronic keys to have access for all emergency services (fire, ambulance, police etc)
When I rang 000 they told me they have access as I asked if I had to meet them at the gate.

Nini it would take a few weeks of long hour days to get to your town .... if it was possible.
Houseboats are very slow. Especially mine!!
I think it's only practical to go a little bit past Mildura from this way. A dinghy or canoe would be a bit different I guess.
The last few days we were visited in the Marina here in Murray Bridge by a chap who had come from near Mildura in a 15 foot dinghy with a 6hp outboard motor.
