I don't need a lot of wood Bruce but just small blocks will be OK.
The splitters seems tooo technical for me so I will need to spend a week or two just as an observer till I get the hang of what you are doing.
Got my River navigation charts with me for the night cruise but suggest just around the first bend is the best place. Tie to two trees and then open the eskies and drink to overcome with sleep and worry about the rest in the morning (or afternoon)

Too fussy Brian.... much too fussy!!
I had several big (big) [BIG) blocks of wood that won't fit in the door of my slow combustion fire at home so I've donated them to those with sledgehammers!!! (provided)
I had to put half up the front & half up the back to level the barge up. (as well as spare water for drinking purposes)

I am not fussy Bruce.
Quite happy with any wood just watch out for the after deck if it is made of wood.
We will try and bring as much wood as possible or just resort to cooking on Lithium powered devices 
.

OK, finally got under way once we had a gas bottle delivered. (2PM)
Got a little past Pompoota and found a bit of rock to tie up to.
Cooked up schnitzel & veg ......... all done and eaten before dark.
I only climbed halfway up the rock before I puffed out! All going OK... no dramas.
Broke my fly swat trying to get a nasty bushfly ......... I wonder if they sell them in Mannum? (sticky buggers in this rainy heat)
