Watch out in Tenterfield. The entire town is 50km. a few years ago I recieved a note in the mail saying I was doing 58km in a 50 zone in our M/H . My mistake so I had to pay it.

Enjoy your trip.

AM can you give us an update on the Village as you find it please?
A lot of us may have unduly been influenced by comments from a few having a 'bitch session'.
Be good to hear how you find it?
Is Lorraine home at the moment?

was great, lorraine arrived home late the day i arrived so came over and left a note on my doorstep the next morning while i was out doing the daily chores like washing dishes lol.

well i arrived and they asked for cmca number and guess where my cards is?? thats right at home in the car glove box. do you think i could remember my number - no. but they believed i was a member lol and gave the appropriate discount. i asked the cheapest site and was given a lovely grassy site with power and near the loo for $21.25. not bad i thought. prices go up from there is you want a solid underfoot or drivethru.

from there i spotted a friend from facebook with their kids camped up for the holidays so madie was never to be seen most of the time lol. pool is heated, there is activities planned that all campers can attend if they wish - we didnt.

as we were leaving i realised the place is built on on old airport site, that was funny - big red bus zooming down the runway lol.

well we left there and headed up the almighty range to tenterfield and headed south.pulled into the free camp listed in the book for just north of glen innes and found it unkept and boggy so went out and back up the road a bit to the truck stop and spent a lovely evening by the creek.

went to the standing rocks again for a look see and then headed further south to tamworth. before getting there we expolered thunderbolds cave. hmmm was thinking bad thoughts driving into there lol. tack getting smaller and rougher and was just hoping to have somewhere to turn around should the need arrise. shouldnt have panicked lol but i wouldnt take anything bigger in there. on to uralla and saw where they buried fred and of course looked at every other grave there as madie likes to see dead people.

so now we are at gunnadah in the only park in town. they dont accept discounts unless top tourist. lovely walk through town to get dinner and everyone we met was so nice. awesome town.

we are booked into the caves park at wellington fortonight - if madie ever gets out of bed that is lol. 8am naow and she still snoring away.

You're doing well AM & Madie.... sounds like an adventure happening and (so far) no hints of B____downs or even panic!!!
I hope you find a nice biggish town for tonights fireworks? Any plans for seeing in the new year?
Someone told me you're considering calling in to "Uncle" Brian's Steam Train Factory in Maldon?

AM we were planning on stopping at the same free camp just north of Glee Innes, we may have to stop some where else as we'll. Do you recommend the caves CP as we have never been down that way before?

the caves park is great, booked in here for two nights.

pretty uneventful day today till we came across some cattle on the road doing the long paddock thing. madie thought it a real treat, then just as we were coming into a lovley little town for lunch we missed a roo by the skin of his tail lol.

admin do you want a letter??? thats not nice to even suggest it lol. dont know where maldon is???? oh yea was chatting with brian about a steam train lol so many places and people to visit.

no fire works here but i reckon it wont be quiet either. have been invited to a camp for nibbles so better get going, oh and dottie, its not like the kid to sleep so long, must have worn her out last night walking through town.

glen dont go to the one marked in the book go north a k or so just over a bridge and there is a big truck parking area. its perfect.
