Well I've tested the new Winegard Sensar HV and its no better than the standard Winegard, got 20 odd channels some of which are unstable depending on time of day and the weather. It is however 20 times better than the old Saturn)= which never got any signal at all.
The Australian Vertical signal add-on for the Winegard was installed and tested by a friend and achieved no improvement in signal.
We are at Victor Harbor in a vertical _ Directional area notorious for poor signals.
Observations from personal experience.

I've been using the WinSig Vertical Attachment for two years, and recommend it. I have travelled all through the wheatbelt of WA , SA, Victoria, Central NSW, Qld and Tassie and in places I was never able to get Terrestial TV coverage on previous visits, the WIn Sig has meant I no longer have to put the satellite dish up.
I too have been using the WinSig for a couple of years and recommend it also. I will also add that if you're having problems picking a signal up with the Winegard then you should check re-terminate the coax and replace the connectors if required. I would start with the short length of coax from the head unit down. It is about a metre long and does break down in UV and the constant moving.

The win sig didn't improve the standard config in a poor signal area. We have managed a few more channels as the weather changed.

Just a note for use in DTV areas, with Vertical Polarisation. The Vertical attachment needs to be fairly exactly pointed at the transmitter. Much more so than the Horizontal antennae. I use a Digital Signal Finder. Also, there is no amplifier on the vertical attachment, you need to add your own if required.
Russell, there is a TV antenna man in Victor Harbour who specializes in RV's. As you drive from the town to the main VH caravan park you pass him on the left. That's about as good as I can give with instructions. He is as good as anyone you can talk to about the subject.
